I bought this dog brush on a whim when ordering another dog brush from the same brand. It looks like it wouldn't do much, and it doesn't do much, unless you have a long-haired dog, and then it's a miracle. My double coated Alaskan dog is very hard to brush. She sheds all year and even sheds a full coat in the middle of winter when it's -40F. If I can't get the undercoat out it builds up and she refuses to let me groom her head, neck, and upper chest. So all of that is very dense with several years of growth. Then I ordered this brush and it's like a miracle. What it is is a detangler brush. I can actually brush through her dense areas with this brush and it will pull out some of the undercoat there. Once there's some fur on the brush then it has an easier time of grabbing undercoat because it has some friction, and not just smooth nubs. This brush doesn't bother her either and she fell asleep while I was grooming her neck, it's crazy. On my other short-haired dogs this brush does nothing, but they sure seems to like it as a mini pupper massage. I put the brush in water and a few of the nubs did rust a bit, but that came right off the brush with a baby wipe. Another detail of this brush is that the neck where the brush head meets the green handle has a bit of a rocking joint. It's obviously intentional and not a sign of a faulty product. I really like this because the brush bends a bit if the dog jerks suddenly or if it gets stuck in fur. I'm super happy with my little purchase on a whim and it's worth every penny!

We have a german shepherd mix who sheds like a crazy. Using this comb we were able to comb his out and remove the lose fur before it ended up all over everything, like it usually does. I would recommend this comb for breeds which shed heavily.

My dog hates to be brushed, so I'm always up for trying something new. This did a great job of releasing his thick undercoat.... for as long as he was willing to tolerate it. Textured, rubber coated handle allows for a nice firm grip. There are two rows of teeth... tines... bristles (?), that really get into thick coats well. The head has some flex to it, but when you're trying to detangle matts, sometimes that's a hinderance. I like the T shape as I find this easier to use on my pets. I also tried this on my long haired cats, but the tines are too far apart for their fine fur.

I didn't have my phone with me while I'm up at the ranch, so I don't have any pics. But I have to tell you that my dogs are acting like they have a new coat. They seem to be strutting around like it's a fashion show...and they know it. My family was laughing how different they are acting. The rake was pulling off hair from days gone by. I felt so bad thinking of the neglect that I imposed on these guys. Then I realized that it's the performance of the rake and not my neglect. We decided to use the rake on our horses and once again we were pulling off hair by the hand full. The horses are groomed every week, so it appeared that this rake was able to do something different. We realized that we were getting the undercoat. This was ne for us and now this is our 'Go To' for our horses and Mutt & Jeff, our Samoyeds'. It appears that Mutt & Jeff have a new healthy coat. I would like to think it's from their food, but I know it's the Doggiez Pet Supplies double row rake. 5 stars from me guys!

I have a Shih Tzu and I keep her fur trimmed with the exception of her tail and the top of her head. Keeping her tail long and beautiful has been a fairly simply task. Keeping the rest of her hair just as beautiful has been more difficult (hence why we keep most of her body trimmed). The fur on the top of her head (the hair I put in a pony tail) has been, by far, the most difficult to maintain, mainly because I feel like the hairbrushes I've used in the past just don't get deep enough to ensure I get the comb completely through. This particular brush has longer teeth than the brush I was using, which seems to make it more effective. It also didn't pull as much when I was combing my dog (which made her far more tolerant of getting combed). I definitely recommend this brush for anyone who has a long-haired dog
