Excellent fit

This fits my A6400 perfectly. I bought this right after I bought a flash for my camera, which was fitted with Smallrig Cage 3164, because the cage prevented the flash from going all the way in on the hot shoe. The cage was about 1/4 inch from the top of the camera and a little less than that from the front of the Hot shoe. Now, with this item, I am able to use the flash and have the two cold shoes on the sides. All that's left to do now is to pair this with an L-bracket with grip that has 1/4x20 holes on the side!

A good option for adding cold shoe attachments to your Sony a Series camera

I wanted more accessory options for my Sony alpha 6400 camera. The cold shoe adapter plate attaches through the camera strap holes on each side of the camera with a M2.5 screw for Security. Another slot on each side of the camera is provided to attach your strap or adapters as seen above. I use the extra cold shoe mount for my DJI Mic 2 together with the ulanzi light. The bracket clearly leaves access to the hot shoe and camera dial. It does not block any function, in fact its improves the look of the camera..

You need this!!! Especially for filmmaking and photography accessories.

I have no complaints, I have been having an easier time using multiple attachments for video work. Also have clearance to see the screen when used for vlogging or selfies. Contemplating for sometime if it was worth it, happy to say that it was. Side note: you have to screw it on the neck strap area of the camera. (Tool included) you still have the option to have a camera strap with this.

Used on a Sony A6400 with a Rode VideoMic Pro. Having the side shoe mount was crucial to fit with most gimbals. The mount was sturdy and the screws fit exactly.
