Nice inexpensive adapter for allowing a DVI-D cable to use an HDMI port, or vice-versa.

Simply put, this is an adapter to go from DVI-D to HDMI, or from HDMI to DVI-D. You can use this to convert a device that outputs from a DVI-D port and allow it to send video to an HDMI input device. You can use this to connect a device that outputs from an HDMI port, and allow it to send video to a DVI-D input device. In other words, this is a two way adapter, and can function in either direction, unlike some adapters that are made to adapt only one direction when used. This adapter comes with a small screwdriver to screw the DVI-D side in place, and that should be all you need to install it for either direction. The adapter seems well made and sturdy, and installed with no problems of any kind. The picture quality is as good as it can get for the resolution used. This is a product that does what it says it will, and does it problem free. For this type of product, that is the best compliment you can give it. In addition, the price is excellent.

Perfect if you have an older monitor without an HDMI input.

Got these to connect both a Windows laptop and an older Macbook to a secondary monitor we had lying around that only has VGA and DVI inputs. This simply lets us use an HDMI cable to connect the two devices to the monitor. Didn't need more than one, but I guess now we have an extra just in case, lol. This works just fine for both machines. Signal is strong and there isn't any noticeable noise or glitching. Plug-and-play and good-to-go!

easy fix with nice extras

I have a complicated setup at work with 2 different computers and 4 monitors at my desk. And being a government job, all 4 monitors have been acquired at different times with different sizes, resolutions, and connections. I got one new monitor, and found myself in a situation where I couldn't hook it up anywhere because all of the matching ports on both computers were already being used. This solved my problem and let me get things connected, and it came with two pieces in case I have the same issue again in the future. It also came with a perfect size screwdriver to use on it, so I didn't have to try to angle a larger one behind the monitor and the wall. Picture is fine, I haven't had any flickering or lost signals. Overall very happy with this for what it does.
