Unfortunately this doesnt work right out of the box. Seems like its fairly sturdy so not sure what happened to it.

The media could not be loaded. This is a handy product if you want to get some of the makeup off brushes. It does not get 100% off at once. You have to babysit it if you want those results. But it does get majority of the makeup off. I did have to rinse the water out a few times. You have to plug this in for it to work, no batteries which is nice. But the cord is short that they provide. There is also no wall adapter, just a usb cord. So you will have to have a wall adapter on hand or plug it into a power bank. I feel like it needs just a little more power, if it had more power it would probably yield better results. It takes longer than if you manually did by hand. The lid is silicone where the brushes are inserted. This will not fit large brushes. It does well on small ones and medium sized brushes. Is this the most amazing cleaner ever? Probably not. But it will get the job done...eventually. It this were a little cheaper, I would recommend it because it would be on point for the price. As of now, a bit pricey for the results.

Works better than expected

The wife loves this device as it surprisingly cleans her makeup brushes better than expected. The power is pretty good considering how light weight this device is.

My wife uses this in her craft room for paint brushes. Kind of an unconventional (or unintended) use but she loves it! Says her brushes get clean every time. She really likes having the option to dry them without laying them flat.

Definitely better than manually cleaning

This make up brush cleaner does a good job of cleaning less soiled makeup brushes on its own - think brushes used for powder based makeup - but may require some extra effort if cleaning brushes used with liquid or more dense makeup types. On its own, it spins and circulates the water and brush very well, but as The instructions state, you may need to manually hold the brush bristles down and "repeatedly rub the bristles on the turbine transfer plate" in order to clean them more deeply. So those more heavily soiled brushes won't be automatically cleaned, but honestly, I found it to still be much better than manually cleaning them. There are three different methods of cleaning listed on the instructions and each works a little bit differently - I like that there are multiple options, but I will have to experiment a bit to see which method works best for each kind of brush.
