The brush drying stand is made out of cardboard. Should have been made out of different material. Recommend just buying the regu lar flat brush cleaner. Not worth the money.

I like how you can clean multiple brushes at the same time, but the bowl needs to be higher - since most makeup brushes are tall. What's up with the on button? Not exactly the best place to put it to keep things clean.

I have had this approximately a year and the motor is starting to burn out. It does a great job of cleaning brushes and the drying rack works so much better than having to lay the brushes horizontally on a towel to dry, however the erratic behavior of the motor diminishes these positive attributes. When emptying the bowl, even with the power button off, it will suddenly start spinning causing the cord to get wrapped tight around the base. It does this constantly! You shouldn't have to unplug the unit every time you need to empty and refill the bowl to prevent this from happening.

This product doesn't clean face brushes well. However it does pretty good on the smaller brushes. You do have to move your hand to help it clean. So on one hand it's great for small brushes but on the other hand it also is a waste of money.

A makeup brush cleaner might seem like an unnecessary expense, but some brushes can be quite expensive, and when you spend over $40 on a brush, it's nice to be able to get your money's worth. This brush cleaner is quite simple, and when I opened it, I wondered how it was going to actually do anything. it looks like a rubber textured bowl that vibrates. In reality, that IS what it is, but somehow, it really works! You do need to add some kind of brush cleaner, but I suppose the mild agitation does the trick. I tried it out on a very old and well used foundation brush that has seen countless types of liquid and powder foundations. I love the brush, but it was starting to feel like the texture had changed because of years of makeup that had become embedded in the fibers. I filled the receptacle with water and added a dash of cleaner and turned it on. After immersing the brush and pressing against the agitator nubs, I was surprised to see the water turn an icky shade of tan. I dumped the water, rinsed the brush in clean water, and repeated the process with no soap. Nothing much happened, so I added another squirt of brush cleaner and once again, in minutes, the water turned an icky shade of tan. I did this three times, an probably could have done it again, but I decided that was enough for now. I then inserted the brush so it was upside down in the nifty little brush-drying holder that came with the cleaner. This allows the water to drip out of the brush from the top rather than collecting at the base of the brush where glue holds the bristles in place, which would cause the brush to fall apart rather quickly. Once my brush dried, it was like new! 5 stars for this product. Just make sure you don't forget to buy some brush cleaner to go along with it.
