So much joy!

This cactus has brought our family so much joy and laughter! I have a four-year-old and almost two-year-old and they both think this thing is hilarious. The mimicking voice is always funny, and it has served some unexpected purpose, like promoting my toddler's language development. It also has an amazing way of being a complete distraction amid meltdowns and conflicts. It is super funny when it mimics cranky people who don't want to hear it : )

Cheaply made

Had a hole in it and when we put brand new out of the package batteries in it. It leaked battery acid all over my adult daughters hand. The batteries came from a multi pack and there hasnt been a single issue with any other battery. But with the hole in the material leads me to think it is a malfunction of the cactus. And no volume control as advertised.

Entertaining, glad we got the volume control version

This toy has both our baby and the adults entertained. It is silly and captivating. Whether its just a little sound or a full sentence, the cactus will pick it up and repeat it in a very high-pitched, sort of robotic baby voice. It took us a minute to realize the toy was repeating us because the sound is so distorted. It definitely has all of us laughing. Baby was a little confused at first but entertained! She is 6 months old now. I look forward to using this when she starts babbling more so that it will seem like the toy is responding to her when she talks. I will say that the few pre-recorded songs programmed in the cactus are very annoying and fast-paced. I would have enjoyed if there were a few more catchy, less annoying songs. The cactus is soft to the touch. My daughter is very into textures right now, so she enjoys touching the cactus while it is dancing. She is also extremely captured by lights, so the little lights inside the cactus that flash while talking go a long way with her. We typically use this at our house, which is a relatively quiet environment. When first turned on, this toy is loud. I am very glad we opted for the volume-control option. There are really just 2 options- louder or quieter. We always opt for quieter version as I think the automatic loud option would be overwhelming for both of us. Overall I would recommend this toy and would consider purchasing it as a gift!

Cute but a little malfunction

This is a cute product and I got it for my baby nephew. The songs it plays are pop-ish songs and more for teens and adults. It does pick up sounds tonrecord on this mode and repeats it, and on the other mode of recording sounds, it does it as well with a cute modified voice. The malfunction was in the songs mode and it picks up and records other sounds. But it is okay for now. Keeps the baby entertained.
