The six-year old liked that you could make several different models with the same kit. The pieces went together well, although we felt the instructions could have been clearer (took all of us some time to realize you could snap the pieces in at 45-degree angles). Taking the models apart requires some oomph; the little one needed some help with that. We wished that all of the instructions had been provided in the booklet, since the first-grader doesn't have a phone to use the app!

The pieces are pretty solid and click into place easily. The manual only has a few models shown, but the rest are in the app. Speaking of the app, the model could be turned in different directions and enlarged as needed, making things easier to figure out. My son had fun watching the model coming together on the app as well. I would say the only con is that once the pieces are together, it can be hard to get them apart; but that's also true of many other brands. I would recommend this for folks of all ages who like to build things in a reasonable amount of time.

We ordered this as a gift for our neighbor's six-year-old son, who's very bright and enjoys building. He told us he loved this. His parents commented that he spent several hours building it and trying some variations. All in all, it was a great hit. We like giving learning toys and this is a good, quality learning toy.

Love this set! The car gets put together quite easily on when following the directions from the book. Other kids loved joining my daughter in creating their own little items from the extra pieces. Some of the interlocking deemed a bit harder for 5-year olds, but with encouragement and showing how, they were very excited when they were able to do it too. What an amazing product! I checked out their website as well, and they have quite a variety of different building kits for different ages. If you havent thought about what to get your kiddo for Christmas, I HIGHLY recommend getting into the Engino brand. The box was well designed with one simple book and different pieces in multiple bags. The book also gave really good information learning about the individual item so it turned it into a fun building class. To top it off, it comes with a 3-D CAD rendering instruction step-by-step app we downloaded to my phone in case we lost the booklet it came with. Engineers use CAD for developing plans, so to teach a 6-year-old how to follow CAD directions by zooming in/out and developing a final deliverable with visual steps to follow is probably the coolest underappreciated thing Ive seen in a while. My daughter he was super excited to get this set and within an hour, she had her first complete build! These are not teeny tiny like you would expect with Legos, but they do require some complexity in piecing them together and its SOOO rewarding. They have different models for different age ranges too some sets for 3+ year olds! If your kiddo is too small and gets frustrated easily, it would require a lot of your attention to keep them focused, and to ensure they dont bite the pieces. For a six-year-old, this now became a product I donated to our local primary school. My daughter loved it so much that she wanted other kids to experience putting it together and feeling good about it! Well done, Engino! Maybe the company will reach out to me and I can be their school advocate! I wish I could give these sets 100 stars for first graders!

These is a very nice high quality building kit. This is from Engino's "Creative Builder" line, and comes with printed instructions for three different models (pictured is the "Racer" from the printed instructions). With the purchase you can download the free app, which has 12 more models to make. The app is really nice, with 3D rotation, and step by step instructions. We started by sorting the pieces according to style, and checked them against the chart in the printed instructions. All parts were included as shown. My photo shows left over parts. Those are to be used in some of the other designs included. The kit comes with a tool for taking the pieces apart. They snap together pretty firmly, and are sturdy. We enjoyed the process of putting this together, and look forward to making the other projects they have for this kit.
