Perfect for brushing gums and roof of mouth. Much better than any soft toothbrush I've tried in the past.

Love the idea of a brush that is compostable- they need to use natural fibers for the bristles too otherwise this is a micro plastic nightmare no better than a regular toothbrush.

I had no idea you could get toothbrushes this soft! They're necessary for some people because if you brush too hard with rough bristles it can put bacteria in your bloodstream, so some people have a medical necessity for soft bristles. Me, I just hate hard bristles. These MAY be too soft for me though. But I love them. They feel like a minky paintbrush! Seriously, unimaginably soft. Like chenille! The wooden handle looks hip, and each is boxed individually. It feels like you are polishing your teeth when you brush. I might go a bit wild and get another regular brush and finish up with this for polish with a whitening toothpaste as it feels so lovely. The only downside I see is that it takes a bit of effort to clean the toothpaste out of the bristles when you are done and ready to put your toothbrush away, but I'm only talking a few seconds more time so it's not a dealbreaker. Recommend! And if you're an artist....might try these for an experiment!

Update#2: I am not sure what's going on, but the last 2 toothbrushes I have used have fallen apart. They break off on the side and bristles come off. It takes about 3 weeks, between the 2 before falling apart. See pics. ---- Update: it's been about 2 months using these and I have to say these work great on my sensitive gums, no plaque. They clean well and my 7 year old really likes these. ---- These toothbrushes are awesome. I have been trying numerous of toothbrush heads to replace my electric orab b toothbrush from sensitive to kids soft replacement head brushes. Unfortunately everything I have tried still makes my teeth bleed. So on to trying regular hand held toothbrushes. These come in a 12 pack, and individually packaged, which is pretty nice. These Ultra soft toothbrushes are so soft that the first time I brush, there was no blood. I have gingivitis and sensitive gums/teeth. I use sensodyne and paradontax toothpaste to help with my teeth. This ultra soft bamboo toothbrush has help tremendously. The only worry that I have using these would be removing plaque, but they seem to do a pretty good job removing my plaque so far. I will have to keep trying these an see if there are any changes to my teeth. So far I am happy with the toothbrush.

The box I received contained 12 individually packaged toothbrushes. Six of these had black bristles, and six had white bristles. Other than color, there didn't appear to be any difference in the softness of the brushes. It's not clear why they have two different color bristles. This was not addressed in the item description. The handles are indeed, bamboo. Are the brushes soft? Like velvet! For people who have extremely sensitive gums, these are surely helpful. They're not going to clean the teeth like a regular brush would, but they'll be much easier on very sensitive gums. A couple of discrepancies in the item description: -The "details" section of the description says the handles are battery-powered. NOT. These are manual brushes - The packaging has the FDA monogram/logo on all boxes. (see picture) However, the item description has a disclaimer, "Statements regarding dietary supplements have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition." I find their printing FDA on the packaging deceptive. The brushes appear to be made in Asia, probably China. For those who have such needs, these brushes will work well. At the same time, there are many brushes just like this available at different price points.
