The floss is fine. Its floss. It flosses. Id give five stars if it wasnt for the absurd amount of packaging these little floss boxes came in. This is just unnecessary.

That matters to me. Used to use Reach (later becoming Listerine) Gum Care woven floss until it was discontinued. This is better and it is not even close. Obviously marketed to women, but I don't care. Comes in many different flavors, but I guess my palate isn't attuned to it because I can't taste a difference.

As you can see from my photo, my teeth are not straight and some of them are spaced rather far apart. I have never found a dental floss that actually gets the job done. I was amazed at all of the debris that came out from between my teeth using this product. It didn't make me bleed, it didn't fray, and it didn't irritate my gums. It has no flavor, just a great cleaner.

To be clear, this is not the kind of "dental floss" I'd expected. It looks more like string you'd buy at a hardware store, the flavor is more like a fragrance than a taste (I got vanilla/chamomile), & the floss isn't waxed. This isn't 100% clear from the product page, and I think that's what may have disconcerted some of the unfavorable reviewers (other than the snowflake who was horrified by what she called a "b" word printed on the box, whatever that means. The box I received didn't have any such words.) All of this adds up to something pretty unique, even impressive. The soft, uncoated, string-like form factor makes it surprisingly effective for flossing larger gaps that would take some work with even dental tape/ribbon. The surface of the string drags out any plaque or food far more effectively than conventional floss. It has more friction than regular floss and catches the bad stuff more easily & thoroughly. Also, b/c it's a soft woven texture, it doesn't cut or slice into the meat of your gums. Overall, I'm very, very impressed. This floss works well on all my teeth, but its thick cross-section makes it the best solution I've ever seen for flossing larger gaps. Not cheap by the foot, sure, but it's so effective that I use a lot less than I would when flossing with, say, Glide or Reach. Very happy with this unique product. Kudos to the mfr.

For a couple of weeks, I've been using both Flush Floss and Dr. Tung's Smart Floss. Both flosses are thick and multistranded, which make them similar to the woven floss that Listerine recently took off the market. Whereas the woven floss seem to be comprised of strands that are loosely twisted together, Flush Floss and Smart Floss have strands that seem to adhere to each other as if they are waxed. I have to use my fingernails to pry them apart. The loose strands of the woven floss give it the ability to flatten and easily slide between tight teeth. Per the photo, the Flush Floss is twisted whereas the Smart Floss is straight. The products are similar in thickness but the texture is different. The Flush Floss feels coarse and hard when you pull it through your finger tips. In contrast, the Smart Floss feels supple and soft. I suspect that those with sensitive gums or tight teeth will prefer the Smart Floss over the Flush Floss. However, when rinsed with warm water, the two flosses take on a similar texture. The individual strands are fragile. Both flosses have a slight tendency to flay when caught on a filling or when pulled through tight spaces. On ZeeBooth, Flush Floss is only available in a package of 3 pocket sized containers of 17 yards each. At the current price of $12.50 for a package, Flush Floss costs 8 cents per foot. Smart Floss is more economical. It comes in 30 yard containers and the customer may choose a package of 2, 3 or 6 pocket sized containers with free Prime shipping.
