We were saving seeds from our garden in regular Ziploc sandwich bags, which was a bit bulky and hard to label. These little envelopes are perfect for the job! They are small and very tidy, and look great for giving to friends. Its easy to write on them, and the zip top closes securely. I havent tried heat sealing them, though its a cool option. Overall these are great, a big step up from regular coin envelopes or plastic bags!

I sponsor a Botany Club at the High School where I teach, so we deal with a lot of seeds. These paper envelopes are just right for storing them. The paper is of similar quality as inter office mail folders, only smaller- about 3 x 3 inches (you don't really need all that many seeds). Each envelope has a built in clear window, and each envelope seals with a plastic zip sealer (like a zip lock baggie), or they can be heat sealed. These would be perfect for storing and labeling small bits of hardware, plant specimens, or travel medications.

These are handy little bags and the listing really does give you a good idea of what to expect from them. The only confusing thing about what the manufacturer said is that they have a plastic window. I would describe them more as plastic bags with a layer of kraft paper wrapped around them. It's not just plastic at the window. They're great for small things that need to be in a sealed container. The kraft paper keeps out some light and makes writing on them easy. No more Sharpie that will eventually smear off. I am trying to save seeds and I do actually plan to use at least a lot of these for my seed collection. I want to eventually heat-seal the bags to preserve the seeds even better, but at present I don't have a good way to do that. No complaints about the bags.

This gets four stars for meeting expectations, for me five stars is something that exceeds my expectations, this meets my expectations which is still very good. I ordered these to use for storing my seeds which need to be protected from light, moisture and kept in a cool place. These are perfect, I can write on the paper portion of the bags, pop the seeds in and heat seal them for the year until next season. Since the bags are flat I save space in storage making it easier to keep all in one place.
