Not escape proof

The unit is what you would expect for a Chinese made product at this price. I don't have any complaints about that at all. Knowing that, you should be careful with the way you handle and treat it. The design seemed good. The suction cups stick really well. Hard to get off when you're ready and that's a good thing. Now, when I read reviews a lot of the negative reviews are obviously due to user error. I'll admit that I could be guilty of that as well. I've had two different female guppies escape from this contraption. They do it at night, so I only suspect they're getting out through the holes on the lid. Another review suggested lowering the water in the tank so the top of the breeder box is above the water line. That's not in the instructions but it failed to hold the females upon my initial install.

Functional, reliable, clear

The media could not be loaded. Very easy to assemble, and I like the air valve that helps oxygenate the main chamber. I used it for pregnant ghost shrimps with no problem)) sturdy suction cups never slipped, so the holes in the top cover werent an issue for me

Good value but still watch out for hungry mothers

This breeder box is well designed and somewhat sturdy for a reasonable price. I guess it would depend on the size of fry but once my molly and swordtail fry started to swim around the morning after being born, they somehow make their way into the main compartment. I still like it though, as during birth the babies go straight into the funnel type horizontal separator, giving good protection from hungry mothers.

I'm not one to write a lot of reviews but I thought I'd take a few minutes to warn you about this thing. This is by far the flimsiest, cheapest, poorly designed thing that I've ever bought on ZeeBooth. The plastic is brittle as heck. It comes with no instructions (not that it's that difficult to figure out). Most everything on the box is written in Chinese. The top doesn't line up with the box.... But if you place it at the top of your fish tank that shouldn't matter. The suction cups are only at the top so there's nothing to keep the bottom from floating away especially if you have a wave maker. I will undoubtedly be returning us and buying a different one from a different manufacturer.
