Always pops completly in under 5 min. Save a lot by buying by the case. Good flavor but not overwhelming. I buy a case every 2 to 3 months using Subscribe and Save for a bigger discount.

Good quality product and good flavor kinda expensive though.

Opened this expecting a savory spread. Scooped some up on a cracker and bleah! Really sweet with very little evidence of coconut or ginger, and no lemon. Added a ton of salt, some garlic powder and dried sumac (lemony flavored herb) and the product approached edible, tho still a bit sweet. Offered it to my roomie who liked it enough to take it off my hands. Gave it an extra star based on her willingness to eat it after I jazzed it up.

I on occasion find myself wanting to get a little snack pack of tuna salad to spread on crackers, so this caught my eye. It's a good size to have as a snack at my desk. Admittedly, I've tried all kinds of vegan replacements for omnivores, some fabulous (impossible burgers) and some rancid (tempeh my be-loathed). So I wasn't going into this with the highest of hopes, and thus the cans sat un-tried for a good while. I finally sat down to try one, and here is my takeaway: Texture. It's exactly like tuna salad. Texture is often a sticking point with vegan alternatives, so I will say that it was a delightful surprise to have it be a perfect 1:1. I think that the pea-base does a fine job of emulating how it feels. Flavor. Very strong! The coconut, ginger, and lemon has an almost curry-like taste to it that is pleasing. Despite it not having any mayo in it, it almost tricks my mind into thinking that it does. The first bite I had a "oh, is this curry?" reaction, but after a few buttery cracker dips into the mix I found any thoughts of it being pea protein going to the wayside. It does a great job of convincing me that it's a flavored tuna salad. Consistency. Unlike a can of pre-mixed tuna salad, this doesn't have the watery junk in it. No stirring needed. It's also bigger than the cans of tuna salad that come with crackers, and I think that it's fuller as well. Smell. Very faint and smells more like a good curry than anything. Good ginger and spice smell. If you are a habitual tuna eater, you know that the odor can be unpleasant and strong for those in your vicinity. Not so with this. I would be curious if the base would fool me without all of the strong seasoning, but I would not turn this away. If anything, I'd be eager not only to have this as a snack, but to mix this into soups, stir fries, and curries as an easy flavor booster. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed.

FISH PEAS - Plant Based Vegan Spread Food in DANISH Sauce with Tomato, Onion and Leek. I was coming in from a day in the garden when my fish peas were delivered. I opened a can of fish peas, and started spreading it on saltine crackers. Very tasty. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is spicy, not hot. I could eat a whole lot of this, on crackers, on salads, or as a dip for chips or fries. It's good stuff, and I'm not even vegan! What I won't do, is pay six bucks per 4 ounce can. That's a buck and a half per OUNCE! Cut the price in half, and I may order more of these for the family. While the listing does mention spices, the spices aren't spelled out, either in the listing, or on the package. I really think the FDA requires that sort of information on food products. People do have allergies, after all, and they should have ample information to avoid a food that contains whatever they are allergic to.
