Although it's so pretty, the strength of little magnets and backside magnet is weak. I would use the little magnets elsewhere inside the lock for lightweight papers or little notes. Or else, they'd drop off. The large metal piece is okay for writing notes and maybe pinning one lightweight note or two.

This board looks great, and my daughter was excited. However, neither the dry erase marker that came with nor any other dry erase markers worked on the surface. The marker ink did not wipe off! The surface of this board is awful. The pushpins and that parts worked, but this was a complete waste of money. We bought a new dry erase board from a different manufacturer, and it works beautifully.

This Five Star Locker Magnetic Dry-Erase Board is quite useful for leaving memos to my employees. We have this placed on the shop`s kitchen refrigerator door and the magnetic is strong enough to hold it in place when the door is opened or closed. The pen works well and erase easily. I also like being able to pin paper notes to the board as well. Highly Recommended! CFH

This is a clever accessory board that is perfectly sized (6 x 8) to fit on a locker or refrigerator door. It comes with a dry erase marker, 4 magnetic pins, and 4 push pins. It has a very strong magnet on the back which keeps it securely in place. It would be perfect except for one problem - the marker board will not erase without serious scrubbing. The magnetic pins and push pins work fine, but what I really wanted was the ability to write quick notes that could be erased after a few days. However, once the marker ink dries, it won't erase with the little eraser on the pen. I tried water, soap, Simple Green, and Krud Kutter. I was finally able to clean the board using soft scrub. Ok for a kitchen refrigerator, not so good if the board is in a locker. From the number of glowing reviews, I can only guess that I, along with a few others, may have a defective board. It works fine with push pins and magnets, but if this is how it is supposed to work as an eraser board, I cannot recommend it.
