This small package brings a great visceral worm-pulling element to the push-your-luck genre, providing a game that plays quickly and is tolerably enjoyable for me, while absolutely delighting my 5-year-old daughter, who keeps begging to play again. It's a fundamentally simple concept, where you pull worms a la "shortest straw" from the randomized (rotating) holder, and add them to this height track cumulatively, until you either arrive at the current goal length (via a card), or go over (and get penalized with a skipped turn, but also receive a +1/-1 token that lets you tweak the goal in your favor, making it so nothing is ever all bad). She's starting to get the strategy down a little better, wherein you want to keep pulling worms out until the odds aren't very good that the next one won't go over, and then you pass. She's also learned when to take advantage of the +1/-1 tokens. There's a good variety of worm lengths, extending all the way to a 5er. My daughter still laughs almost every time she or someone else pulls out the 1 length worm. Which is indeed very stubby and silly. And the longer ones are satisfying to draw out. You really can't tell in advance which one you're going to get, since all you see is their heads. And spinning the worm holder does a good job of randomizing them enough to make it very difficult to have any sense of where a given worm might be. There are a few special cards you can add in that jazz it up a bit more, though none of them are at all complex. All in all this is a great light family weight game that teaches some probability concepts, and is rather adorable and satisfying.

I played this with the little kids. We really didn't follow the rules (which were a bit confusing) but we made our own. Kept them busy on the down side the lid doesn't stay on well and spills easily

I played this game with my younger nephews, yet they didn't enjoy it as much as I anticipated. It's possible this game might work better in an academic setting, since it is designed as a math game.

Nice little game for keeping kids occupied.

I disliked the storage top and also round top were not fastened down did not twist on to keep parts in when child was done playing and could fall off as just setting on top and when child was not very careful as most children are careless of toys . 2 Tops good idea just needed better fastening system. When putting toy away worm parts could fall off and get lost. Game was well thought out by Mary Jo Reutter and fun for child to learn math.
