Hello, Peeps! I loved the idea of these sponge cloths, and Im a big fan of Norwex, so I love how the sponge cloths have silver infused as well as charcoal; thats what sets them apart from Norwex sponges, which do not have silver or charcoal treated inside of the sponges, only the exterior of the sponge. To be frank, sponges generally give me the ick. I typically use Scrub Daddy sponges, because they dry fast, then I toss them out after a week or two when they start to break down or look gross. I love that these seem very sturdy, as I am trying to be more aware of the waste I create on our planet. I attempted to boil water with some detergent, because I dont want the scrubby part to destroy my other clothing in the washing machine. The foamy soap water boiled over really quickly, oops, LOL! I think next time, Ill just soak the sponge in hot detergent water from the sink for 15 minutes instead of boiling, because the sides of the sponge curled a little from the boiling water, and I don't wish to burn myself over a sponge, which thankfully I did not burn myself accidentally with today's mishap, lol. Not a big deal, as I am only testing 1 sponge at this time to see how long it will hold up to heavy use. I live with two other humans and two large dogs (75 lbs or more each dog). I will not use this sponge to clean up pet messes, obviously, I use paper towels for that. The dogs hardly ever have accidentsmaybe once a year, if that. These will only be used for general kitchen use. Ive only had the sponge for two days, and I have used it to scrub the sink, clean the microwave, wash all the dishes and clean the counters. It has very minimal looking wear and looks just about new, except for those slightly curled corners from boiling them, but they may flatten back up with my next use. I suspect this sponge will last for about a month with heavy use. All three people in this house cook often and create a lot of dirty dishes, so we will see how long it will last! I plan on using the sponge to clean the refrigerator today, then Ill soak the sponge in hot detergent water in a bowl after. Ill update on the sponge in the future and Ill update on the cloths in the future as well, I have not tried the cloths yet. Im only testing this sponge right now, but its already way more versatile than Scrub Daddy! The only good thing about Scrub Daddy vs this sponge, is that it dries very quickly. However, I do like that these stay damp for a while, because its easy to pick to wipe away crumbs or spills. Scrub Daddy doesnt do the best at wiping spills, in my experience, anyway. I also like the ease of these vs rags. I don't have to fold them, they are ready to go and easy to rinse out to get back to work! No stinky sponge odor detected yet, but it's still new. I'll update again in the future!
