This is a really neat set. Enough for 2 people to work on. I wished they mixed up the beads or split them into the 2 tins, but instead, they are packed via it's theme. So I manually sorted them. Th assortment of beads are really awesome and I love the shiny Pandora-like beads. I actually took those all out and plan to wear those instead of having it go with the kits. (There are even some that have 2 colors to the beds.) A few reasons why I took a star off: One of the word tags reads "Never Never Give Up." This is one of those cases where a comma really makes a difference. One of the bracelets end screws off (which is awesome) so that the Pandora-like beads fit. However, the wire wrap bracelet does NOT have twist off ends. Instead, you just thread the beads in. But the the beads fall out... that is why I took a star off.

This set of two tins with pendants, European style beads, bracelets, and necklaces is a sweet way to get girls started with jewelry making. It comes with one pink tin sporting a mermaid design and one blue tin featuring a unicorn. Inside the pink tine there are two packets containing fabric cord necklaces, one packet with a silver chain bracelet, and a bag full of various pendants, themed from mermaid and beach items to inspirational pendants. The blue tin contains a stiff metal bracelet that you pull apart to place on your wrist. When you release it, the bracelet ends fall back in place overlapping one another. This tin also contains a bag of European style beads in varying color schemes with silver metal rings in the center. The first thing I discovered, back when I was thinking I could make a bracelet for myself, is that the included bracelets are definitely sized for a girl or a very small woman. The band with the overlapping ends will only go on a small wrist, as the overlap is the only way to hold beads on the bracelet, at least as far as I can tell. The flexible metal bracelet is also a small one, making it suitable only for a smaller wrist. This bracelet and necklace making kit doesn't require any tools, since all of the pendants and beads can be slipped onto the provided chains and cords without needing any jump rings or bails. The pieces included appear to be made of quality materials that will make jewelry that any little girl would be happy to wear. The two tins provide great storage for the materials in a very compact space. I'm a little disappointed that I can't make a bracelet for myself, but I can still recommend this item for any little girl who loves pretty things.

I got this for my almost 8 year old daughter. She loves to be creative and loves to wear jewelry. This set was the perfect combination. It comes with really quality beads (glass & metal), and great options to display them: two types of bracelets and so many necklaces. I always struggle with tying things off properly and this set takes that pain away but not needing that. I also love that if she changes her mind or wants to have a different charm, she can easily change it based on her style or mood. It comes with two tins, each filled with beads and something to put the beads on (one had just one bracelet & the other had the other bracelet + necklaces). You could easily separate these as two prizes or small gifts, though one would wind up with the glass / acrylic beads and the other with the metal. However you use this, for less than $12, the set is a true steal. I absolutely recommend it. The little girl in your life will love it. I plan on snagging a few more to keep on hand for birthday gifts, etc.
