I like the foam bed. The cover not so much. The zippers don't move. So now I use my own sheets. The plush is too hot for my dog.

We bought the jumbo bed for my chocolate lab and have been extremely happy with it. After 4+ years, the cover was finally starting to wear out, so I bought this replacement cover from furhaven so it would be no guesswork. I decided to go with the quilted instead of the original fleece/suede so it would be cooler (we're in Florida and summer is on it's way). It's supposed to be the same quality and size as the original. HOWEVER, it is more than an inch and a half short all the way around and the quilting doesn't seem the same. I ended up having to trim the original bed down so it would fit. Fortunately, she seems to still have enough room to be comfy. I do have doubts that this will hold up for 4 yrs like the original.

EDITED REVIEW ***** The cover fits. I wrote a bad review because we did not notice that there is a zippered compartment for the top bumper cushion. I feel VERY silly. Ill leave my old review up in case any other silly geese buy replacement covers. The covers are easy on and off. The zippers are sturdy and really make swapping covers a breeze. They wash up nicely in my machine on the delicate cycle. We are up to three Furhaven beds and our dogs love them. Weve had them for a few years and they have held up well. When these beds wear out, Ill repurchase without hesitating. I would recommend Furhaven beds and replacement covers to anyone with pets that like to lay on squishy things. OLD REVIEW * We own two Furhaven dog beds. One is the large size, the other is xl/jumbo. Furhaven sells washable replacement covers, which was the determining factor in choosing these dog beds. One of our dogs likes to dig. She dug into the xl/jumbo bed and shredded the original cover. No problem! I can just order a replacement cover. So, I did. I ordered the xl quilted replacement cover. I checked the xl/jumbo bed measurements against the bed cover measurements before placing my order. The cover arrived and my husband tried to put it on the bed. It did not fit. It was too small. He was somehow able to compress the foam enough to close the zipper. The cover was so tight that the edges of this bed were pulled several inches off the floor. I dont mean an inch, I mean five inches. Those seams were STRAINED. I thought, Oh look at how hard he tried! He must have put it on funny and just forced it to work. Ill leave the cover as is and put it on correctly after it needs a wash. The dogs were able to use the weird, lifted edge bed as it flattened under their body weight while in use. I washed the cover as directed and went confidently to put it back on the bed. Any thoughts I had about my husband being silly and adorable for incorrectly mashing the foam insert into the cover dissolved within thirty seconds. It was like trying to zip a size twelve body into a size six dress. (Ask me how I know, lol). I still do not fully understand how my husband managed to get the cover on the first time. I checked the size. I checked it, again. I looked for instructions, a video, anything. I was certain there must be a trick to making the cover fit. Nope. I tried some more. After an hour, lots of cursing, and admittedly some tears of frustration, I realized that I was crying over a dog bed. I gave up. I apologized to my husband for underestimating his bed cover wrangling abilities. I put the too small cover on our smaller, size large Furhaven bed. Guess what? It was too big. My new option is learning to sew, I guess? Maybe therapy, because this happened more than a month ago and I am still mad. Lets say that my husband and I both incorrectly put the cover on the dog bed. Its quite possible, even likely. Thats fine. Im not interested in products that are this much of a hassle to use. Ive put together dressers from Ikea that were less frustrating than this dog bed cover. We have four dogs and do a lot of laundry. I need something thats easy to change out. This bed cover was not it.

Ill fitting cover, too small. Ive had this bed for over a year and I have washed the original cover every month. It always went on quickly with litttle effort. I had to wrestle with this cover. I fear if I wash it, I will never get the bed back in!
