Strange dust

Move your finger along the bristles and look at the endless amount of dust that comes off in such a pervasively consistent amount it looks like smoke.

Great biodegradable, natural option

These boar bristle toothbrushes are a great alternative to conventional plastic toothbrushes. They seem to clean my teeth just as well, if not better, than my previous toothbrushes and have a good feel to them. The hair is more coarse than you may be used to, especially if you use a soft brush out of necessity. I would not recommend it if that is a concern for you. I have not experienced any shedding with the hair and even after some firm tugging, it stays in place. For children who are used to having brushes where the bristles are closer to the edge of the toothbrush head, you may need to teach them to open their mouths wider as the bulk of the wooden brush means you need to work a little harder to get into areas in the molars. Overall, I think this is a great set of toothbrushes if you're looking for a natural option.

My toddler approves!

Product comes with numerous toothbrushes so this will last my toddler for most of the year. The toothbrush is great quality as the bristles are nicely placed and soft I would estimate as the firmness level. The bamboo handles are sturdy and aesthetically pleasing. My toddler was very excited when we got these and is happy with using. These are larger than a traditional kids toothbrush, so adults could use, or would even be useful when traveling as they are on the smaller size. Overall great product and I would recommend.

It's fine

These brushes are fine. We got them to have on hand for guests who spend the night and forgot their toothbrushes. They're fine for that and for traveling. I don't know if I would use it on a daily basis because the bristles are so hard, but when need a brush in a pinch, they're fine.

Not much good to say

To start with, at a price of $20, you can find far cheaper eco-friendly toothbrushes that are also more comfortable to use. My two main problems are with the high price, and the bristle quality. The bristles are firm and tough, more than the brushes I use. You can soak them in warm water to soften up, but you have to do this each time. Additionally, I had several bristles fall off while brushing, not a fun time. At the very least, they would probably be good for cleaning.
