i had some old speed silvers that needed to go and just grabbed these they were about as stiff as my silvers on paper, but right out of the box they have me super impressed they remind me of the milky yellows but stiffer and more milky with a much better return sound in my opinion, i believe material is the same or close to as the milkys different stem possibly i'm not sure i didn't look to far past how they felt and made me feel and they make me feel... complete hehe.

These switches sounds amazing. The sound profile is very marbly when paired with my full aluminum chassis keyboard with slotted PC top plate and some MOA keycaps. The build quality is excellent and I noticed no bent pins on any of the switches. They arrived packaged neatly and each switch was in its own slot in the packaging, unlike many other switches I own that just arrived all bunched up together enter in a plastic jar or bag, which resulted in many bent pins that had to be bent back. The factory lube works well enough for those of you who dont want to go through the process of lubing their own switches.

The media could not be loaded. I like these Gateron CM linear switches. They are slightly heavy but not wildly so. They have a strong, lively rebound. They have a loud, poppy sound profile, more on the clack side of the spectrum in my opinion. They are factory lubed and I dont notice any scratchiness or spring ping. Just like many Gateron offerings, they are well enough constructed and snap into the keyboard easily. They have a standard, non-box style stem but dont have much stem wobble either. I like the unique colorway. The backlight LEDs appear very slightly dimmer where these switches are installed. At approximately $0.45 per switch at the time of writing, these seem like a good value when compared against other comparable Gateron offerings and especially against other brands. In the video, I compare these Gateron CMs (top) to Gateron G Pro Reds (middle) and the Outemu white linears that came stock in my keyboard (bottom). I've been testing the Gateron CM linear switches for a couple of weeks now and they've been performing well so far. Out of the box, they seem to be well-lubricated with little to no scratchiness, and each keypress feels nice and bouncy thanks to the dual-stage 55g spring. On my keyboard, they have a strong neutral sound signature that doesn't lean towards either clackiness or thockiness. Although these switches are factory lubed nicely, I would still suggest hand lubing these a bit more for the best experience possible. Once hand lubricated, each keypress becomes silky smooth with the bounciness being more pronounced which I love. The switches also start to take on a more creamy sound signature that just sounds very pleasant to listen to. Overall, I think these switches are a good option for those who care more about the feel of their switches rather than the sound. While I find their sound to be pleasant, it might not be satisfactory enough for those who want a strong clacky or a strong thocky sound signature.

These switches take a lot of force, 55g, to activate and will bottom out with 63.5g of force. They have a total travel of 3.6mm with a 2mm pre-travel. The top and bottom of the switch are made of PA66 nylon so are very rugged as would be expected in a high quality Gateron switch. The switch feels very smooth and has no click sound or any notch, this is almost the opposite of a standard blue switch with the only thing they have in common is the large force needed to type on this switch.
