Genuine Fred SLOP TARTS, Set of 4, Compressed Kitchen Sponges, Expands when wet, Clever and quirky kitchen accessory...

I couldn't resist the pun when I saw these. They look like pop tarts and they are okay as sponges. They have lost color over time and got kind of smelly but I wasn't expecting anything too long-lasting anyway. They do get a chuckle though when someone spots the slop tart.

My daughter and son are in charge of dishes in the house...and whenever I see a fun product to help make the job a little easier, I grab it. These are super fun, recognizable as Poptart's. They come out of the box flat and absorb water to get thicker. They work great. So far, we are still using the first one (of 4) we removed from the package, they rinse well and if allowed to dry flat, haven't had any issues with mold or mildew. My son loves them!

We found these sponges to be only OK. The sponges are very simple. Theres no rough side to the sponge to take care of stubborn spots for cleaning. It is simply a sponge. The sponges are very porous, which makes them retain water more. I guess they seem to hold water better than other sponges, which honestly, when soap is added makes them slimy and hard to hold when scrubbing. I also found them to be very fragile when cleaning a cutting board or a knife. They were very easy to tear apart and create fractures. Honestly, its kind of gimmicky. It looks neat in theory but doesnt work all that well, Ill keep them around to do cleaning spots on walls or floors, but not really useful for my dishes.

These are pretty neat and original sponges. These expand quickly and are very absorbent. I don't really use these to wash dishes as I prefer something with a little bit more abrasion, but I do use these for countertops and our dining table. They do a good job and are gentle enough for delicate like glass, microwave or the stove while being efficient. They also seem to rinse the soap off easier than my regular sponges. My son loves to help clean and he has his own Slop-Tart sponge which he really likes. He will go around cleaning the walls and counters which is very cute to watch. These are durable and I have been using one of them for over a couple of weeks now, and it has not worn, pitted or shown signs of wearing down at all. Nor has it smelled mildew-ish like other sponges can do. I did make a mistake by using a bleach product when cleaning and this unsurprisingly resulted in a pink crusted Slop-Tart. But it still works great. Overall these are unique and effective sponges for cleaning, which are great quality and last.

I am always in need of new sponges. We have 3 boys in our house and they are a mess. My sponges are always getting disgusting and smelly. When I saw these sponges the name and novelty of them gave me a giggle so I bought them. These sponges come compressed in a small-ish box and to be honest when I received them I didnt have much hope that they would be good sponges. Well dont judge a book by its cover. Once put under water these sponges expand and have a more spongey texture than most sponges. They are a little thicker and do a great job of wiping up counters, placemats, etc. They look super cute in my sponge holder. I have ran the sponges through the dishwasher after they get dirty and they come out like brand new. I am very impressed with these sponges and they make me smile when I see them.
