I knew what type of pole with a flat piece to place the flimsy lamb wool onto. I tried using Velcro on a swifter pole and flat piece to hold and it worked the first couple of minutes until it fell off.

The media could not be loaded. First of all, let me just say that it does fit a standard size broom handle; you're just not putting it on correctly. I've attached a video, but here's how it works: first, unscrew the piece that's on the part that accepts a handle. Slide that onto the handle. Now put the handle all the way into the handle-receiving part. Screw down the piece that you slid onto the handle. Ta-ha! That piece tightens those "fingers" which hold it on. Additionally, the mop/broom is great for dusting your floor. It's soft and picks up very nicely. I haven't used it as a mop and don't plan to, only for floor dusting. So far I've just taken it outside and slapped it to release the dust. Works great.

I used this for a painting project and it met my needs. It came with three wool pads and was cheaper than buying the Woolie for my painting project. Worth the money.

This lambswool mod head (no handle--just the head) is soft on your floors, and it picks up dust and pet hair (and anything else) effectively. The hook and loop (Velcro) attachment holds it securely in place and makes it easy to remove, either to swap it out or clean it off. Nice Product!

A Swiffer-style mop is OK, but I don't like that each pad is disposable. Another dust mop I have is washable, but it doesn't pick up as much as I'd like. Either way, any of these style dust mops pick up about 95% and I push the larger pieces into a pile, then sweep them up at the end. This works similarly, but I think it grabs more. My pile at the end that I'd pushed together to pick up was very small and many little pieces of things that other mops wouldn't have grabbed were imbedded in the wool. I wish there were more instructions about how often to wash it. The hook and loop on the back is mighty tight - it definitely isn't coming off without a good tug. I "cleaned" its surface multiple times, removing hair and dust into the bin, then continued to sweep. It works best with a continuous S movement - side to side, turn it, then side to side, never picking it up. Then I can ensure any larger pieces aren't left anywhere. My only wish was that is was larger and that the description specified the pole size. I eventually found a pole that fit from an old mop I was about to throw away. It's not a screw on thread, but a compression fitting.
