Great for travel and beach days!

I got this in xl for my 70 lbs cattle dog mix. We travel and go to the beach frequently and that means my dog is almost always in varying stages of being wet/dirty and I noticed that every time we travel, our car is covered in dog hair and sand/dirt when we come home. This has been excellent not only at keeping her hair to herself, but also keeping her warm! She is typically very difficult to fit in clothes due to her large barrel chest and this is the first clothing item weve gotten for her that hasnt been returned. I love the high collar also, as she sheds heavily in her neck area. The only thing Id change is that theres no Velcro on the underside of the collar, so while it stands up and offers really great coverage, if its folded down it doesnt have anything to keep it folded down so it will flap around and get out of sorts with regular movement like walking. I almost bought a similar coat from a popular dog supply brand that was almost $70 and Im so glad I got this instead. Much more affordable!

Makes drying quicker! No more wet dog

We used these on our two corgis immediately after bath time because they usually like to run around and roll on bath towels afterward. One of our corgis had longer more water resistant fur that takes longer to blow dry but using these has cut down on drying time and keeps them from shaking water all over the place! Getting a second set of them: one for pool/beach and second for post beach baths!

Helpful for baths at a dog wash

Our local Tractor Supply has a dog washing station and I take Fin there for a bath regularly (it is $10 a wash and they provide everything you need and handle the clean up). I take this along because shes never dry when we leave - and this helps to keep the shaking of hair and water all over the car to a minimum. Plus, it pulls some of the water out of her coat while shes wearing it. I can fit her harness over the robe for the ride home - its thick, but not too thick. Its washed well so far - just be sure to affix the Velcro so it doesnt end up in a ball. Fin is about 30 pounds - lean with longer legs and the large fits her perfectly. The material is terry cloth, very much like a towel, and the quality seems fine. The option to have the neck portion folded down or up almost like a hood is nice, depending on the dog. Would recommend.

I read a ton of reviews on other similar bath towels/ doggie robes. I decided on this one based off other reviews. The one thing I needed help with was sizing so I'm writing this review to maybe help someone else with the same issue. I purchased a size small for my Boston terrier and the fit was perfect. The way the velcro belt is designed it is very adjustable. The material is thick and very absorbent. The two elastic bands that go around the hind legs help hold the robe in place. I was so pleased with this purchase that I'll be ordering a few more!
