I got this set of notebooks for my nephews. They love to draw, so giving them these notebooks helped give their artwork "more weight" instead of them just drawing on regular printer paper. It really made them feel like they were creating art that could be kept. The size of these notebooks was perfect - large enough for them to draw out their ideas, but still small enough to tote around with them everywhere. Overall a great product!

Great little sketch books for on the go. I love how lightweight these sketch books are and how they could fit into your backpack, medium-large purse, laptop case or even in a suitcase. The glossy cover is a nice added touch. The paper is a moderate thickness. It probably would not work well for tracing, but definitely for sketching with pens, pencils, and crayons; markers would probably seep through the pages. If you're someone who likes to draw, sketch, or jot down ideas, for the price I would recommend these notebooks.

This is an extremely simple sketchbook. Thus, the context here is important. This sketchbook is for very casual, quick sketches, and I recommend using it on a hard drawing surface. It is quite thin (30-double, i.e., 60 pages) and the cover is not made of cardboard, it is very soft. So, as long as it is used for very quick and casual sketches, I really have to say it is a great sketchbook to have! Here's why: It is of compact size (8.3 x 5.5), which makes it easy to carry around. It is also light-weight, so not only that you can carry one for travel or to a location, but you can carry the entire package, with the 4 books. Won't take space or weight. The binding is great. On a solid surface, such as a desk or even a table easel, they pages lay flat. The thickness of the paper is perfect, on the thin side of course, but you don't feel it when using it, even with an ink pen, not just with graphite or charcoal. The paper is almost smooth. It has a very tiny tooth to it. My favorite feature actually is the cream-color of the paper. Very nice when using brown, black or sanguine colors ink. I have to admit, at first look, when I opened the package, I was not sure why did I order those in the first place. They are not like any other sketchbook that I have. Now that I used them, and I dedicate them to only very casual sketching, I'm really becoming a big fan!

My son loves to sketch and draw simple comic books. He goes through a lot of different types of papers, notebooks, and sketchbooks. When I saw this sketchbook bundle on my ZeeBooth Vine review offering, I decided to order it for him. He loves it. At under $10, you get plenty of sewn paper books that will withstand the rough journey of an overly enthusiastic user's misuse. While the pages are not very thick, this bundle's overall practicality and sturdiness make it very appropriate for children's projects, etc. However, it's worth noting that the paper is somewhat translucent, allowing ink from ballpoint pens to be visible on the other side. Overall, it's a great value for the price, and my son enjoys using them for his artistic endeavors.

This is a nice notebook, good size, and excellent paper for pencil. I like to try notebooks with fountain pens and water based ink, and this notebook fared pretty well overall, with just the heaviest nib and wettest ink really causing issues. However, the paper just didn't work well with my fountain pens, the paper seems a bit grabby, just feels like the sizing is wrong for fountain pens. The good news, other pens and pencils work well with the paper. After that, I grabbed one of these to go out to the shop to take notes on an engine I am working on. Using a 2mm lead holder, this notebook really shined in that use. The pencil feels really good on the paper, and the size and lightweight notebook was a plus in the shop. The cover is glossy, and that made it a good selection for the shop, so I am very happy with these for that use.
