Works well for what I needed it to do.

Worked right of the box so to speak. No complaints. Using this for a SD HD alternative for and old win 98 machine I was reatoring for retro pc gaming. Does exactly what I needed it to do.

Must use single ide cable.

This card does not have a way to select master or secondary. I tried using a normal 2 drive ide cable and my computer couldnt see it. When I switched to a master only cable it worked perfectly.

Seems to work only as a single device no way to set master/slave or cable select

Missing the jumpers needed to manual configure for Master or Slave. This renders the device useless on computers older then the 486 era or so unless your computer needs only one drive per channel. The device is probably configured (fixed) for cable select but there is no documentation. I tried a few approaches such as placing the drive in the master or slave positions (end or middle) with a second drive without success. Make sure you use a high quality card for some reason even with an 80 wire cable I was getting file corruption issues. This will work fine if your computer fell over and need just one device on one channel. Of course if you have some cheaply made system, truly ancient or annoying embedded system (one ide channel) and you need some way to transfer files it won't work.

Worked as expected, using SDHC on Intel Pentium 90Mhz system!

The smallest SD I had sitting around was 16GB, and Windows 95 OSR2 can only address 2GB per partition, with a max of 4 partitions per disk. I had no problem creating 4x 2GB partitions theough this adapter. This means a few things - this adapter is fine with low-level disk calls, so anything you might want to do with the "spoofed" disk will just work, no need to prepare partitions, filesystems, etc before installing the card. BE AWARE though, if you do this the filesystem will NOT be available to other OSes unless you install the whole adapter. Runs at the full speed available to the chipset, which is 15MB/s. It sits around 12.5, which means it is just about perfect for 100Mbit ethernet. At the end of the day, my project was just for grins to see if I could get it working, but if you need to get an OLD system working for an important reason, this thing would be a life saver. **In case you are wondering**** While modern hard drives are still compatible with PI/O on paper, I have not found one that works correctly in this system once everything is installed. They try, but random errors start popping up within hours and the partitions corrupt within days. Been running on the adapter for 2~ weeks now withh no problems

Worked to replace dying HDD from DOS computers

This worked amazingly well. My HDDs were dying, and the computer wouldn't recognize a SSD with a SATA to IDE adaptor. All I did to get this to work was copy the HDD onto the SD card, and it booted up right away.
