The media could not be loaded. Ive been trying to find more sustainable solutions to various household tasks, and part of that is to move away from single-use dusting cloths. I decided to try these cloths to see if they would be of use. They feel very soft, and have a low pile that helps with cleaning them off after use. I absolutely despise the texture of velvet and some microfiber cloths end up falling into the same category, but the ones in this set just feel pleasant to the touch for me. I tried it out on the neglected lower shelf of our coffee table. For my first attempt I tried the cloth dry. It was able to pick up a good deal of the dust, though there was a bit left behind and it was easy to shake the dust loose from the cloth. I tried making a small area damp next and found it very effective that way; the dust stayed stuck to the fabric and the added wetness made it easier to clean off other little messes that had ended up there. These should work well for cleaning up small messes and to take care of some light dusting. Though they work best to trap dust while wet, they will clear off a good amount of dust when used dry if you just want to do a quick clean now and then, or if the item youre dusting cant be exposed to moisture.

These waffle weave towels are an 80/20 blend of polyester/polyamide which makes them soft enough for drying water spots on your car without scratching it, but the 12x12" size isn't realistic for that. Waffle weave towels are great for drying off things around the house but excell at glass cleaning in your car or home. You won't get any streaking or lint shedding either like from paper towels or others. The 12x12" size fits in the palm of your hand when folded in half, and then half again, which is a little easier to maneuver around than the common 16x16" size. Folding gives you 8 possible clean sides to use. If you are going to use to dry anything on your cars paint, I always rip the tags off to avoid the possibility of the tag causing any scratches. The edge stitching seems to be done well and I didn't see any fraying or stray fibers in the main surface area. Microfiber towels are also very durable so long as they're cared for correctly. High heat is the enemy of any microfiber towel. Never wash or dry on high heat. Always use lowest heat settings. Fabric softener dryer sheets & liquid fabric softeners in the washer are also no-noes. Microfiber towels are naturally staticky, which help them to grab and hold onto dust & gunk. Fabric softeners in liquid or sheet form will coat the microfibers and cause them to lose their great absorption ability & static, dust capturing capability, making them less effective. It's best to use a Free & Clear scent free, softener free, detergent that most major brands have or use a specific microfiber cleaning detergent. Oh yeah, and never wash them with anything else other than other microfiber towels.

These Ekedalen microfiber waffle weave cleaning cloths are a handy size for plenty of household (and automotive!) uses, and are made from a nicely absorbent microfiber material. I'm not sure what it is about the "waffle weave" microfiber cloths as compared to the "regular" microfiber cloths, but the microfiber cloths seem to be more absorbent and are more often recommended for cleaning out the inside of your car, especially the glass. These Ekedalen waffle weave cloths are no exception - they're conveniently absorbent. I'll use a few of them in my kitchen, and a few in my car. And, since these cloths also don't leave lint when you use them, I use them for wiping down and cleaning my electronic devices once in a while. This ZeeBooth listing describes that you will receive six cleaning cloths with this order, but at least two of the pictures show seven cleaning cloths. I find myself getting increasingly annoyed by Sellers who photographically suggest that you'll be receiving more than what you will actually receive. I received SIX waffle weave cleaning cloths. The listing also describes these cloths to be 12 inches x 12 inches. When I measure my cloths, they're generally around 11 1/2 to almost 12 inches square.

These really ARE very nice, high quality, microfiber cleaning cloths. Anyone who has used microfiber cloths over the years knows there are good quality and bad quality, and unfortunately you can't really tell unless you can touch them and feel the fabric. I have some good quality ones from FlyLady's website (her Purple Rags for those who've been on her site) that I always felt were a bit pricey, but darned if I could find any as good as them. THESE are of the same caliber - yes, they are slightly smaller, but they are significantly cheaper! These don't have that awful feel to them like they are trying to cling to you for dear life, like a burr or something, ick! They have a "rough" side and a "smooth" side. You use the rough side for cleaning, and the smooth side for polishing. Clean your window, mirror, what-have-you with the rough side, then use the smooth side to polish it dry, leaving you with streak-free glass. I can definitely recommend these, I think they are very nice cloths and the price is hard to beat. One tip though: Don't use fabric softener on these when you launder them! This will diminish their cleaning power. I personally don't dry them in the dryer either - I hang dry them, but that is just my personal preference.
