These graphed note pads are fairly useful, and the perforated sheets tear off of the pad easily enough. The paper is smooth and easy to write on with gel pens and ballpoints. The grid is printed on both sides of the sheets, but the grid is rather large. I would have liked a smaller grid, but they are still useful.

A dozen of old-style notepads. There are no spirals or sticky backside. They are just notepads that you used to have next to your answering machines (ask your parents, if you don't know what that is). They are made with high-quality paper and the lines are clear, but not dark. The paper writes well with either a pencil or pen. I really like the size of these notepads. The height is about exactly the length of a BiC pen and it's about 3/4 of the length of the pen across. Not too small and not too large. It does everything it needs to do.

These are nice pads for note-taking, creating lists and such. The lines are only on one side but that could be a plus or minus depending on your use case. For me, it's a minus since I don't always have short lists. But if you like to write or doodle using blank sheets then this may work for you. Also, the card board backing is a helpful plus, but it's not as thick as other pads I've used which provide more sturdiness.

I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of this lined 4 x 6 note pad. The size of these pads is ideal for general note taking/scribbling. I have used several ballpoints and get pens of different colors and the ink has not bleed or skipped onto the paper. In fact, the gel pens ((Pilot G-2 07 in black, blue, and red inks) are very dark. Naturally when using a Sharpie there is the normal bleeding on the reverse side. Additionally both mechanical pencils and the standard No2 pencil write smoothly. Mistakes are also easily erased with these pencils.
