I was relying on these oil-based markers to help me achieve a special effect in painting. You can successfully apply oil paints over acrylic (water-based) but not the other way around. I wanted to use these metallic markers to outline an intricate pattern on a work and then wash over it with acrylics so that the latter paints would be resisted over the linework. It should have worked but didn't and I don't know why. The acrylics adhered to the surface without crawling. So I may have to redo the gold lines. That's the bad news. The good news is that I can paint over the gold lines to correct minor errors. These markers have the AP seal and are RoHS compliant, rigorous safety ratings for the U.S. and European Union respectively. They contain no xylene or toluene which are both hazardous substances. There is almost no odor. The nib is very tough and maintains its point. I haven't used these markers long enough to determine if they indeed have a long-lasting ink supply as claimed by the manufacturer. Except for my disappointment in not being able to achieve my special effect, I am quite pleased with their performance. If they don't last as long as I expect, I will edit this review.

This is a review for the CoocAni 2 Gold Oil Based Paint pens. They're great pens! I got them because I have metal hooks in the hallway that I wanted to be gold rather than silver so they would go with the other hardware in the hall. I think it turned out really good! - I am sensitive to odors and don't like painting with oils for that reason - but there was no odor, or if there was, it wasn't noticeable - The coverage is good but it is important to get a good amount on the pen - shake... then long press on a different surface...then paint. I found it was more evenly distributed when it was wetter - left less streaks -It dries to the touch very quickly - HOWEVER - I went back over it for a 2nd coat when it wasn't fully dry and caused a lot of streaking. - Also I tried to long press and make a puddle on a plate and then use a brush to paint it on - that makes a lot of streaks too - do not recommend a brush - the trick for a lot of even coverage is to get it saturated - get in there - scribble furiously - then get out and be done - It's been a few days and so far the paint shows no signs of coming off - It writes really well as a pen - Was able to wipe up any drops and hands with hand sanitizer - I though it would run out but there was still a lot of paint left in the pen after my project

I used these to right and trace on some resin products I made. They write so smooth and leave no bubbles. It looks so fancy. I will be getting some of the other colors. They arrived quickly. I recommend these and the seller.

The media could not be loaded. These oil-based paint pens are individually sealed,and perfect for my project. Would buy them again.
