The photos make this product look like it's high quality and will look like wood (instead of the plastic it's made from), but that's not the case. It looks just like the 4th photo listed. The dark brown parts are light gray instead, and the light brown parts are a weird shade of red/pink. Super low quality items, don't purchase unless you want your aquarium to look cheap/plastic.

Although these little logs look pretty nice, they are a fin-shredding nightmare! Out of the box I could feel that there were some sharp edges, but I sanded down some of the obvious points and gave them a try. Big mistake! My curious guppies have paid the price. Several of the fish have sliced their fins after trying to swim through the logs. I removed the logs months ago but held on to them. Today decided to try to sand them down again. I discovered that the inside of the logs have sharp edges I hadn't really noticed before. After slicing my own finger open, I decided these weren't worth the pain of trying to sand down the razor-sharp edges around the openings in the logs. Do not buy these if you have small fish that could try to swim through the log! You'll regret it. If your fish are bigger (too big to swim into a 1.5" hole in the log) then these could look nice in your tank.

Allows my smaller fish to have sanctuary,when needed.

Size and appearance are good but I will need some time sanding down the rough edges so the fish do not get hurt.
