Works Fine

The lens cap works fine for my needs and fits well and attaches to the lens filter securely.

Cap leash of little value

The basic cap design is very similar to many other aftermarket and some original equipment (Nikon, Canon, Sony, etc.), albeit from a bit "thinner" plastic than some original . However, the cap leash is worthless. With a very small drill, one can modify the cap to be similar to the Promaster design (convert the existing hole into an open slot, opening toward the bottom or open end of the plastic wall through which the existing hole passes, and going a bit away from that and drilling a small "vertical" hole -- a slot and a hole offset from the slot and through the slanted top surface. One can then fit a proper leash, such as a Promaster ASIN B003ASNHJA . The Promaster leash does not get high reviews on ZeeBooth, but in fact is perfectly serviceable until the elastic "stretches out" that may take a year or so. The Hoage simple thread leash is of little value; the thread is of smaller diameter and different construction than the "thread" of the Promaster leash (not the elastic -- the thread).

Finally a cap that fits right on my Nikon. Won't be losing this one like the non attachable ones or the type that attaches to the lens body. Just the old fashion cap on a string which is long enough and easy to put on.
