I was drawn to this lens hood because of the low profile. It fits perfectly, matches the silver finish well, and most importantly, it doesnt add unnecessary bulk or weight to the camera (whose main selling point is portability). Even allows for the original lens cap to be used without issue.

Low profile. Fits in purse or pocket. Takes a filter. Matches x100v body. Allows use of flash (except for close ups). So much better than a much bulkier and less discrete square lens hood.

This lens hood has a nice construction and quality to it but unfortunately does not fit the lens cap that comes with the X100V. The hood itself works fine on the X100V and the hood also accommodates a B+W XS-PRO nano UV filter but just does not work with the OEM lens cap that comes with the X100V as the OEM lens cap is slightly too big to fit over the hood so it doesn't hold on at all. So if you're looking for one that'll fit a X100V lens cap look elsewhere! Update 3/5: Decided to give this another go. While it does not work with the OEM x100v cap you can purchase an aftermarket FOTOMIX LC-FX100 cap for a x100f (https://www.ZeeBooth.com/dp/B07663LJBQ/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_UqwyEbN1G6VXD) and it works just fine! You can see in my attached pics where the original cap is a hair bigger than this hood but the FOTOMIX LC-FX100 is a nice fit!

I purchased this set mostly for the filter extension. I've tried using just a filter alone on my X100F, but when trying to focus up close, I kept on getting a focusing error and had to restart the camera. This happens because when a filter is mounted straight onto the camera, the lens doesn't have enough breathing room to move while focusing. Enter the Haoge lens hood, which gives the filter glass a few extra millimeters extension. I tested focusing after installing the extension, and the errors are now gone, which is great. In other good news, if you wanted to make use of a filter AND the lens hood, most thin filters can be sandwiched between the mount and the hood that comes in this kit. In my photos you're looking at a setup with: filter mount > Tiffen HAZE-1 filter > Hood. The silver color also matched Fuji's coating very closely, and overall looks quite nice together.

Such a great hood, I used the silver version on my X100 and now have a black one on my X100T. Very low profile, protects the glass from some damage and some stray light, looks great and is very affordable. You can also use your OEM Fuji lens cap while using this hood! Win/Win.
