These are perfect for using on flowers, especially to dead head many flowers in my butterfly garden to ensure the flowers keep blooming all summer. The problem is that, even with cutting such soft stems, the tips of the blades (1 in.) have already lost their sharpness, making it necessary to be down in the middle of the blade to get a nice easy cut. They are only two months old and this problem makes it kind of a pain to do and precision cutting.

Great product! My wife has small hands and most gardening shears are cumbersome for her. These are not only sharp and give a consistent cut, but they are comfortable for her to use. I, on the other hand have fairly large hands (XL gloves) and still find them comfortable and effective to use.

Decisions, decisions. That has been my life for the past 3 or 4 months. This is one I am glad I made. The product does the job and does it well. Easy to handle, dependable, sharp. Those are the things I was looking for and those are the things I got. Great price too.

I purchased this along with two others to try..I have nothing against this, great for smaller stuff, very sharp, light weight. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because compared to the other two I purchased, the handles are plastic but it does have a screw, in it, so as long as you don't use it to cut anything real hard like a stout branch, I think it will work nicely for lighter weight jobs which it probably was designed more for..I think if you cut through hard wood there could be a chance of it breaking, perhaps. I would liken it more to a scissors. It works great for flowers or cutting iris leaves something like that..I just feel you'd want to be careful with it and not use on something to thick...
