Bottom line: It works great and I'm very happy with this solution! I ordered this because I was adding an additional display to my laptop. I found a nice, used display at Goodwill for a great price. There are times when I want to be able to repeatedly refer to a PDF document while I'm working on various projects. Using this "new" display along with this cable enabled me to fulfil this desired capability. There are MANY "older" displays out there that don't have HDMI inputs, but do have the ubiquitous VGA input. This cable enabled me to couple one of those displays with a USB to Dual HDMI output video display adapter and solve my problem (and have the capability to easily add yet another display from Goodwill with a second, identical cable - but from a different vendor.) This is one of those cables that is really nice to have on your shelf because invariably it's something that you'll really need at some random time when the store is closed.

I literally own 2 dozen old LCD's in perfect working order. They are all old monitors that people threw out because they were "broken". After replacing one dollar's worth of parts (caps), they are suddenly working like new. Only issue is that most new PCs, projectors, etc usually only have HDMI outputs. All of the HDMI to VGA adapters I've tried in the past were expensive and not very reliable. They were adaptors only, requiring you to own/purchase a cable to go with it. This item looks just like a simple cable, but the adapter is cleverly integrated into it. If you didn't know in advance, you would think it was just a standard cable. Speaking of appearance, the build quality is top notch. Every aspect looks like they put some extra thought & care into it. It resembles one of those overpriced "monster" cables, but the price is a fraction of one. Don't be fooled by the plain white box that it arrives in. It's just a white box that says "CABLE", and nothing else. I found that weird considering how great the cable turned out to be. No one would expect anything good just based on the box. The cable worked perfectly on the first connection. No issues with display quality, color, or whatever. It just works. For ten bucks or less, this is a steal.

Exactly what we needed. Bought a monitor for my son did not realize it was not full HDMI with this cord it makes it really easy to connect your Xbox.

This is a solidly made VGA to HDMI cable in my estimation. Unfortunately for me, I needed an VGA from PC to an HDMI Display. These UANTIM is going the other direction meaning it is HDMI from PC to a VGA Display. For my review, I can attest the cable is well made and all the connections fit snug at an affordable price. Just do a little more reading into the description to ensure you are getting the proper direction of the cable connection. 4 Stars
