Multi-purpose

I like that these can be used as injury ice packs too. Havent tried in helmet due to nothing to hold them in place.

Keep you cool

This product gets cold quickly in the freezer and is very effective to keep you cool when put inside your hat. They stay flexible when frozen, so they can mold to your head. My dad has heat intolerance because of multiple sclerosis and these ice packs help him stay cool in the summer heat.

Better than nothing

I cannot attest to the product's usefulness for headache relief or as a sleep aide. My use case was playing pickleball outdoors in the sun on a 90+ degree day. First of all, even though it's not very thick, it does make hats/caps sit up a little higher and off your head. I had one baseball cap that it fit okay with, and another that didn't. If you were resting or wearing it during some gentler activity like walking then it might work better than it did for me playing pickleball. Secondarily and more importantly, it only stayed cold for about 20 minutes. It was in the freezer overnight. But when I pulled it out of my hat after the first pickleball game it was no longer even cold. To be fair, an active sport and a warm day sends a LOT of heat up to your scalp so maybe I was just expecting too much. All that being said, although it didn't work for my use case .. it *might* work for others for headache relief or to help you get to sleep. Can't speak to those applications yet but I'll keep it in mind should one of those situations arise.

Doesnt stay cold long in heat.

These are fun when theyre cold but dont stay cold very long. I got these to cool off at my outdoor job but even in my cooler with extra large ice pack theyre not cold by mid shift. Comfortable under hat though.
