Really impressive once looking up research on the ingredient source they used. This is quality and not ordinary generic junk. I like studied and tested sources for supplements because supplement sources are NOT like generic ordinary food items because of potency in small amounts. So Many Benefits and Affordable Compared to Hawaiian Product, Need to improve absoprtion!

Have used astaxanthin for many years. Biggest benefit has been that I can take the sun shine without burning, I have fair skin. Also a great antioxidant and good for heart and eyes. I have always ordered the Hawaiian Product through Costco but the price kept increasing for 12mg variety. I checked out the web site for this product's source and was impressed with the manufacturing and processing methods in a closed system (Hawaiian is exposed to the elements in ponds per their web site). The pill size of this product is about the size of a vitamin d3 5,000IU pill which is very small so no unnecessary additives appear to be in this product (take with a fatty meal). Wish they would add phospholipids to the pill or olive oil for better absorption. UPDATE 12/11/21: ordered again and see that they added organic olive oil for better absorption. We also take a costco kirkland krill oil capsule with this product since krill has phospholipids that help with absorption through cell walls.

Not sure if it works

Easy to swallow. Have tried for 3 months but honestly cannot say that I felt a difference? I have osteoarthritis in my knee and take collagen, Hyaluronic acid and MSM already so was hoping this would make a difference so I could reduce/remove some of these supplements. But now that I've been off the astaxanthin, I cannot feel a difference. I wanted it to work as I periodically have to get gel shots in my knee so anything I can take to prolong the time between shots, I'm willing to take. The needles for those knee shots are huge and I hate needles!
