Healthy Eyes w/Lutein + Zeaxanthin Vitamins, Eye Supplements to Help Protect Against Harmful Radicals & Blue Light W/Essential Antioxidants, Help ...

As someone who had surgery for a detached retina, I know the importance of eye vitamins and will be taking them daily for the rest of my life. But I also look closely at what's in them and not just what's written on the front of the bottle. This APRAVIO Healthy Eyes w/Lutein + Zeaxanthin Vitamins product has some good ingredients, but I was disappointed to see only 5mg of Lutein and Zeaxanthin COMBINED per serving. I already take an eye vitamin from Sam's Club that contains 25mg of Lutein and 5mg of Zeaxanthin per serving, which is 6 times as much as this product (photo). So I decided to simply take one of these with one of the Sam's vitamins for a much more concentrated dosage of Lutein and Zeaxanthin while also taking advantage of the more comprehensive vitamins and minerals contained in these capsules. EACH CAPSULE WEIGHS 4 TIMES AS MUCH AS IT SHOULD Another thing I'm not thrilled about is how much "filler" is in each of these capsules. I've started weighing the capsules of all of my supplements. These APRAVIO capsules are supposed to contain 95.5 mg of the primary nutritional ingredients. To reduce weighing error, I weighed 10 of these capsules together and they didn't weigh 95.5 x 10 = 955 mg, but they weighed 4,200 mg (4.2 g) which is more than 4 TIMES as much! (photo) Of course, the thin capsule itself weighs something, but not much. Even if each empty capsule weighs 38 mg, that still leaves 382 mg of product, which is 4 times the stated 95.5 mg on the label. So the extra filler consists of the "Other Ingredients" listed on the label. You'll have to decide if you're OK with taking those other ingredients with the nutritional part of these capsules. If not, then simply stop taking them. As for me, when I run out of these APRAVIO, I won't reorder them.

I have been using these for a couple of weeks now and have had no negative effects from using them, which is the big thing. They are easy to swallow capsules, and so far they seem to be doing the job. The price is fairly decent for the item, and the quality is very good. I have not had any problem whatsoever seeing at night while taking these, so there is that. My eyes feel fine, and my sight is very good, so I am pleased with the results. I am very happy with the results from taking these and I would definitely purchase them again.

Noticed my vision has been "struggling" lately so am giving these supplements a try. I have only been taking them a couple of days so I'm not sure how much information I am able to give effectively, but I did notice a slight improvement in the "eye tiredness" I feel. Maybe it's coincidence, so will have to find out with more time. My eyes also seem like they feel less dry? Again, could be coincidental. Easy to swallow, no noticeable side effects.

As we get older eye problems sometimes happen! I think it matters when your in your 20s to start taking these Healthy eyes vitamins. In my opinion I think you have a better chance of healthy eyes as you get older. These eye vitamins I just received , but my friend has been taking them for a long time., And has make her eye sight improve. Im a older women, and I had eye surgery for Macular Pucker in my left eye, and having to use special eye drops for a few months , then I had to have cataract surgery 8 mos later from the drops. My friend choose not to have the eye surgery but took eye Vitamins instead! She was smarter then me. I went to ucla for surgery, and 10 yrs later still have the distortion from the pucker! Im hopping my eye will be healthier from these vitamins

This product has the main ingredients that, according to studies, benefit eye health and especially macular health. The amounts are generally lower than other similar formulations. You will need to study how much is best suited for your regimen, but probably, you will take more than one pill a day of this product. Also, the Lutein and Zeaxanthin are on the front label, but the amounts of these are not specified separately, and that amount too is pretty low. I am giving it 5 stars because it has the components you want and it has quality assurance that you will be getting these. This assurance is stated as GMP (good manufacturing practice) and FDA registration of the lab. This is rather important, because if there is no certification of quality, you don't know if you are getting what the bottle says.
