First time buying sealing wax for a stamp. The wax is great its bendable and its a lovely color. I wrapped the spoon handle with some hemp cord i had on hand and used super glue ( e6000 ) on the bottom to make sure it stayed. It doesnt get hot but i just didnt like the feel of the metal. It does get all black but i just clean it after every use and its good to go. I used 3 little chips and melt it slow. To fast youll get alot of bubbles and then you might want to get a tool to pop them. I just poured from a center point but ive seen people pour in a small circle motion. You have like a second to kinda shift your stamp on the wax before it sets but you have to apply a small amount of pressure and kinda move it at the same time. I used a piece of glass as a practice. I got these rings in the wax but it doesnt have those on paper i just wanted to practice my pouring method. I also used the practice chips and glued them on to what i needed with a hot glue gun but im sure you could use a double sided tape if you have that on hand.

I love writing letters to my friends and sealing them with this wax. However, the wax is supple, not traditional. This means it's very strong and doesn't break easily, so that you can send these letters in the mail and not have to worry about the seal breaking on the way. I was hoping for the traditional kind of wax, which is brittle, so that it would break when the letter was opened. The recipients of my letters have to tear the paper around the seal in order to open them. This isn't a huge deal, but I figured I'd let people know in case they had a preference either way. If you're looking to mail your letters, get this wax! It's great! If you wanted the wax that would break like how it does in the movies, try finding some traditional wax. Also, I find that using two of the pieces is perfect for a regular-sized seal. In my photo, the letter on the left used 4 and that was way too much. The letter on the right had 2.

This was a great product. It looks like a small amount when it arrives - but I was pleasantly surprised to find that it actually is so much!! Each piece of wax is the perfect amount for one wax seal. It melts very easily and quickly in the spoon over the candle. And it leaves a clean look - no black ash or anything in it. It shimmers a bit. Dries fairly quickly too with the seal so that you can move on to the next by the time the wax melts in the spoon again. Definitely recommend.

I loved this item. We did a couple of practice rounds but quickly got the hang of it. The spoon used to melt the wax was helpful. We kept several paper towels handy to wipe soot and wax off. It is a very slow process, but if the classics look of the wax seal is what you want, it is very worth the hassle. Tip: let the wax cool completely before removing the stamp.

I used these for my wedding invitations. You need two wax beads for each invitation if you want it to be nice and full, but I loved it so much more than the wax candles because we knew that they were all going to be the same size and they formed the most perfect, professional-looking circles. Everyone LOVED the invitations, and commented on how cool the wax seal was! It was a beautiful maroon-wine color, and every seal came out perfectly. The kit was easy and quick to use, plenty of juice from the candles, and it also arrived very quickly! Highly recommend!
