I followed the instructions exactly, the dye did nothing that it promised. Im thoroughly disappointed

Very easy to use but definitely read and follow the directions. I read a lot of reviews to figure out the best way to use this. I (almost) boiled a pot of water with my items in it for less than the suggested time- I left my items in for about 25 minutes- and the dye took very well and came out very dark. Unfortunately the colour was not what I was looking for- it was much brighter, almost magenta, on my nylon fabric and I was trying for bubblegum pink. I ended up using a RIT dye remover but the dye would not come out of the seams of the fabric. If the colour was what I was looking for it would have been perfect. Nice product but sadly no reference for the dye colour.

I was gifted an ugly polyester blouse with bright neon orange and yellow accent colors. The neon yellow turned a beautiful green and the neon orange trim and ribbon became navy. I thought it was worth a try to salvage it with this navy blue dye. It was a fairly easy process and I am BEYOND thrilled with the results. I didnt think to take a photo of the blouse with its original color but this pic shows the after dye! The photo was taken in bad lighting and I havent had a chance to iron it yet. This product impressed me.

The color comes out dark in the dye but after rinsing the color is 1/3. I used half a pack not much water too. This will not be pretty in the wash, the dyes keeps coming out

This is not something I would use again because it is a lot of work. My own poor results are probably due to using it on an inappropriate fabric and not having color fixative. I use the alternative fixing method and most of the color washed out. I used this on a pair of pants that were a blend of polyester and cotton. I had previously tried to dye them using a dye for cotton and it washed out. I thought that was due to the high polyester content so I tried this one. It looked like it was going to work until I got to the final stage. Nope. I got the orange color. In the dye bath, it look like a pumpkin brown color. After washing the garment, it is a light dingy gray. Assuming you have an actual polyester fabric, be prepared to gather the right materials. You will need a stainless steel pot, a stove, a thermometer for checking the water temperature as it heats up, a timer because there is a lot of timing that goes on, rubber or nitrile gloves, an apron, and a color fixative. Also standard cleaning supplies and over an hour of time. The instructions are adequate, although somewhat daunting. Note that most measurements are in metric, although the water temperature is given as 210F. I usually just ask my smartphone to convert liters to quarts. Note that you should not try this on fabric that cant handle high temperatures, such as spandex. Also, once you get your fabric dyed and rinsed, future washing temperatures should be lower than 140.
