Fun to teach a child

Got these as first project to teach a 10 year old who wants to learn. She loves all the pictures. I had her choose one of the easiest as her first project. She loves it and feels very accomplished. The pattern is perfectly printed on the cloth. Very happy with the kit.

This is shown as a beginners cross stitch. It comes with no written instructions. Theres a picture from a different pattern and it shows some stitches but doesnt identify the stitches or when to use them. A true beginner would have no idea what to do or where to start. Doesnt say anything about how many strands of thread to use. I am barely a step above beginner but bought this for my granddaughter so we could work together on cross stitch. If it wasnt for my basic knowledge she wouldnt have had any idea what to do.
