Unfortunately, this keyboard works for just about every app I care to use on my appletv except my most used app. I believe its actually more a problem with how YouTube has created its app but regardless, there are only 2 buttons I could get to work within the app, the home button and the enter button. No keyboard functionality within the one app that needs it the most. If you spend most of your time on YouTube, youll need to find a different solution.

I ordered this for our Apple TV remote. Older model, it does not hold the newest remote because it's wider and thicker. It took a little bit to sync the Bluetooth but once it was synced it was easy to use. Battery life is like all other chargeable batteries it depends on how much it's used. If turned off each time it last 7 days if not then it's two. That is with constant use. It's nice to have a keyboard and not have to do the finger shuffle each time we search for a show. Putting in passwords is so nice and easy now too. Works great!! Seller had producer in original packaging to my house within 5 business days and it was well packed. Easy to deal with. Contact via email to endure all was well with their product.

Plugged in and charged the remote first thing. Only took a few hours to charge. So far it appears to work fine. Very nice to be able to put the Apple Remote on the back, fits perfectly, however, the rubber case is a bit flimsy. Very nice to be able to type rather than search around with the Apple Remote. This is so much easier! But on the bad side it took a while for the Bluetooth to find it. Lousy instructions for how to get it to work with Apple TV 2 (there are instructions but really not a help with Apple TV). It finally found the Bluetooth signal after multiple tries (still do not know how it found it) and finally a number came up to enter to pair. Entered the number and it paired pretty quickly. Used it and worked fine. Since then I have unplugged and moved the Apple TV and it twice and it remained paired without having to re-pair (a great thing). I have not had time to evaluate the battery yet. I would give it 5 stars if the pairing issue was easier, but sometimes feel I was just lucky it finally found it. Otherwise I would overall say I would buy again, hope the battery works for a while.

It is VERY difficult to set up - read other reviews to figure out how since the instructions are worthless (Pick settings, general, BT (bluetooth) button) - when you set up you have to hold down each button for a long time. If I didn't have a tenacious young person in my house who was determined to get this set up - - it probably would be in the trash. Once the set up is in play - it is useful (though occasionally I still have to use the apply remote) Update: Purchased in early January - now it's mid January and it's already stopped functioning. Don't bother

For the price, you can't beat this simple keyboard. Probably would be tough to tap the keys if you have big hot dog fingers, but for average sized fingers, it's perfect! Tested pairing with the PS3 and Apple TV. So far, it's been automatic pairing with the PS3, but not with the Apple TV - had to manually select it in the settings - no big deal, though - pairing process is quick (and this is probably how the Apple TV pairing functions). The case is cleverly made - Apple TV remote and keyboard fit quite nicely. Not having a keyboard back light didn't matter to me. The flashlight is kinda goofy, though - Have to press and hold to keep it on, but don't have much use for it. I like the feel of the soft keys, as well.
