I've been using a JBL bluetooth speaker for about a year or so for workouts, home DIY projects, etc. It's very good, can go quite loud, but is a little lacking on high tones and sound texture. Also, had to keep my phone nearby to change programs and restart it when it pauses unexpectedly. And, my wife needed her own wireless speaker so when I saw this system with a built-in phone holder I was intrigued. I've been using it for about a week and I'm really loving it. It has excellent sound, with very good range. The main sound comes from a single speaker behind a fine steel screen that seems very transparent to the sound. There's a passive "woofer" on the bottom of the housing. Three large rubber feet provide very good non-skid performance and have spaces between them that allows the base sound to exit. The case is flat finished plastic with flat black steel screen across speaker area. The unit feel very rugged, but I haven't dropped it yet so I can't speak to its crashability. The flip up top combined with a built-in notch that has a rubber strip along it holds your phone securely above the speaker providing a view of the programming and the best possible bluetooth connectivity. Speaking of connectivity--I've walked up to about 40 feet away from the speaker holding the phone and it never lost connectivity or fidelity. At the same time, there were about 4-5 walls between the phone and the speaker...no problem. While the sound is great and it gets loud enough for me, it's not going to blow your hair back with sound volume. The documentation says the battery will last 8-10 hours, but I've never played it that long. About six hours is the most I've kept it on. I don't doubt that it would go longer. It has a thin carry strap. It is not weather/water proof from what I can tell. Unlike the photos on the ZeeBooth page, which make it look huge, it's a very compact unit, measuring 3" in diameter by about 4.25" high. The controls and charge port are in a single row up the side of the unit. The volume, pause/restart, on/off are rubber covered. One interesting feature is that the volume up and down buttons double as a program advance or go back as well.. That's pretty handy and lacking in my JBL unit. Enjoy!
