I like that they come in small quantity dispensers. Kids tend to loose them so no big deal or loss. HB#2 hardness is perfect for school work as they are easily erasable and don't leave marks. Package contained 72 plastic dispensers with 10 leads in each dispenser. 0.9mm is the biggest lead diameter for standard mechanical pencils and it is hardest to break if lead sticks out longer than usual. Leads have standard length and fit perfectly to several 0.9mm pencils that my kids have. Dispensers have a large openings and it's easy to fetch the leads. You don't have to shake these dispensers like salt dispenser as I do with another type of small opening lead dispensers I have.

You don't think about how many little pieces there are until you open the package up. There's 72 containers, with 12 pieces each, meaning you now have 864 pieces of lead for your pencil(s). It's a good thing that both my daughter and I both use lead pencils. The lead is the same as any other lead, if you press too hard, it breaks, but you have to press harder than normal. I'd give it more stars if I could for value for money because of how many there are. Also, the lead writes so nice. You also don't want to drop the containers and try to play Pick 'em Up Sticks, only blackish. Now I'm off to look for erasers since I have lead to last 3-20 years.

At this price, you're getting roughly 900 pencil refills at just over a penny a piece. That's hard to beat. And the quality is good despite the low price. I have a lot of 0.5mm mechanical pencils, and these refills are sure to last me a lifetime. They are packaged in a way that suggests that you could resell them if you want, but I have no interest in that. I shared a few of the containers with friends, and am keeping the rest for myself. I found the refills to be sturdy and reliable. No excess breaking. Truly a good deal!

You cannot go wrong with this purchase if you or your family uses mechanical pencils...or if your a teacher. I know what it's like from both sides. Especially at this time of year when students are taking end of year testing. They can only use #2 HB graphite on the tests to fill in those little bubbles. As a parent of 3 kiddos & teaching art, I can't have too much lead 4 mechanical pencils. Since 0.7mm HB is the normal for students, that's what I ordered. I didn't go wrong with it either. The only thing i would say against this small family owned business, is that I think they should include more leads per container because that's a lot of plastic waste. At the same time, it's a good thing they don't contain more than 12 leads per container because it's easy for kiddos to lose as small as it is. So, I guess putting more leads in each container is the smarter choice. Weather they're lost or not, someone will use them. I'd much rather help a small family business with a purchase vs some big giant company. I'm completely satisfied with my order of these 864 #2 HB leads. I shouldn't run out to soon & i'm glad they offer items like this in bulk.
