Good quality glass but the filter ring can be problematic for some lens hoods

I think the K+F Concept Nano-K is a good value for casual shooters wanting protection from the elements, pets and fingers. Not much image degradation compared to B+W or Hoya HMC and (with microfiber cloth) sea spray and sand are easily wiped off. However, the knurled "non-slip" ribbing on the filter ring prevents some of my lens hoods from attaching to the camera. The HB-6 for the Nikon 24-70, for example. Not a huge deal but have never experienced this in 40 years of photography. And I want to relate an experience which does NOT affect the rating but is going to make me reconsider using K+F filters. Today, I dropped a lens onto concrete from chest height. It's been a couple decades but I've done this a number of times. Previously, every time the filter hits the ground first, the filter shatters and the ring deformed. B+W, Heliopan, Hoya, Tiffen behaved similarly. Today, the K+F filter (pictured) did not shatter nor become deformed and I believe it transmitted more force of impact to the lens than if it had shattered. The focus ring of the AF-D lens is so stiff it will no longer autofocus.

Good well made filter

I try to keep a skylight filter on my expensive lens for protection mostly and I usually buy OEM versions. This filter is clear and well made. I have not noticed any degradation of photo quality or color rendition using this filter. Overall, a good thin filter.

Perfect fit on 50mm stock Pentax lens

Clear high quality filter & protector for my old faithful Pentax k1000's stock lens. Both my 49mm diameter lenses, 50mm focal length and my 28mm. Screwed right on, no binding grinding or sticking. Screws off easily as well. Very happy with this brand & quality. Comes with a really nice lens wiping cloth too. Should always use a puffer first to blow off anything that might scratch the glass.

I purchased this protective 49 mm UV filter for my Fuji X100VI camera. IMO a protective filter is essential for most of the lenses, especially for this one which is almost flat and can be easily accidentally scratched or smeared. This glass filter has multiple nano coating which should avoid smearing water. The metal ring is knurled, a rare attribute at this price point, which makes it extremely easy to put the filter on or off and prevent the filter from getting stuck. The ring feels 'solid'. Some of the reviewers mention the necessity of an adapter ring (sold separately) before you can put this filter on the camera lens. You don't need to spend extra money. Simply unscrew the original ring on the front of the lens and screw this or for that matter any other filter. The original lens cap fits nicely over the filter :-) I have purchased many items from K&F before and and they all seems very well made and packaged. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended.
