My wife will not allow anything into the house that has crazy ingredients. She has a list but basically we banned any of the 'xenoestrogens' and several other modern chemicals. While I don't recognize all the ingredients they all check out. We live where it is very hot so the main problem I have is that it 'melts' and is hard to apply as a liquid and also doesn't work as good. I have been shaking it up before use and this seems to help. Honestly the melting is probably a sign that this is made of quality and safe ingredients because if it was all chemicals it wouldn't melt. It is also very dry where we live so lip balm has a lot of work to do. This seems to last a good while and keeps my lips comfortable. The flavoring is a bit strong to my taste, generally I do not want to taste anything but the minty flavor is good for what it is.

I was so excited to try this lip balm by Kinfield, I have friends who swear by this brand. I like the simple, minimalist packaging, and the balm smells minty fresh. It is moisturizing and lasts a long time. It gives a nice shiny finish, but it's not glossy or sticky like a lip gloss. However, mine is kind of grainy feeling out of the tube. I don't know if this is a temperature related thing (it was shipped during a heatwave) or what, and it seems to melt back down to smooth on my lips, but it is kind of unpleasant feeling upon application.

This is close to being great, but falls short. Packaging is very nice, I like the tube, looks high end and smells great. My issue is the texture of the balm, it seems to have chunky consistency that doesnt spread well out of the tube so it feels like it globs up on my lips and doesnt soak in u less I use my finger to break up the chunks. Ive tried massaging the tube, heating it in the sun, shaking it, all hoping to melt the chunks so it would be a smoother consistency but no luck so for me this would be a pass.

I love this lip rescue. It smells great, has a staying-power that is pretty on par with vaseline, and does nourish my lips. I don't find myself craving more before the old application fully rubs off, which I do with a lot of lip balms. Aa long as a little residue is left on my lips, I am usually crack-free. However, the formula is on the thick side, so I find myself nearly half-way through the tube in a little under a week. Because of that, as much as I love the formula, I would only consider re-ordering if the price drops. At $18 per tube, the current cost, I'm not willing to pay just shy of $10/week to keep up with my lip balm needs.
