I've always thought products like this were silly (why would I want a case for my AirPods case? it's already a case!), but after dropping my AirPods case on hard floors too many times--each time seeing the case open itself and spew one or both AirPods out in unexpected directions--I decided to try something like this. I was looking for something soft and silicone-y that might cushion the fall and prevent the case itself from opening. I'm not *so* much worried about day-to-day protection of the case itself (see my first comment...), but I suppose that's a side benefit. This product did exactly what I was looking for. No more searching for my AirPods if I accidentally drop the case on a hard floor--it stays shut! The material is more than thick enough to cushion this blow, and if you care about protecting your case, it seems more than sufficient for that, too. It even has a little plug for the charging port (which can be somewhat awkward to put back in, but it was easy enough to figure out that you can just stretch both ends towards the center--it can stretch and compact enough to make that work). Finally, there is a carabiner, which I can't imagine using but I suppose some people might, and it's easily detachable if you don't want it. I kept mine on since I figure anything that makes the case bigger or noisier and easier to find is good for me! UPDATE: After a couple years, the small top piece (that covers the "lid" of the case) became detached--it was mostly a thin strip of silicone holding it on (and I'm not sure there could have been much more given that it needs to open and close with the case). However, what remains is still more than adequate for my needs -- still stops them from opening and scattering all over if I drop them.

As some other reviewers have pointed out, the top flap of the case does not stay on the top of the airpod piece when it is opened. It is attached by a think piece that I worry may break over time. The rest of the case appears to be very durable, it is tacky enough, and I haven't tested it but it certainly appears at least water resistant. I got the yellow and black, and the yellow is not as bright as it looks in the pics. It is a fairly chunky case, but it is what I was expecting.

I love this case! Two years ago I bought this case for my son in navy blue and I bought a case from the apple store for myself. My case fit snugly around my air pod case and had a fold back top. My sons cases fit snugly around the case and had a flip top lid. The the case lid doesnt fit snugly to the top of the air pod case but he didnt seem mind. He clips it to his backpack and on his belt loops. When it falls the case bounces. It still looks new. My case did not hold up as well. The flaps ripped after folding it over to open the lid of my air pod case. I bought this case in olive green that has glow in the dark parts! I love that it glows in the dark it makes it easier for me to find when I drop it in my purse. The top of the case still fits loosely around the lid of my air pod case, but guess that how its supposed to fit. I dont mind because you cant beat the durability of this case!

I loved how it came in some nice packaging. It was not damaged at all. Once opened up you see it comes with a hook and the case itself along with a manual on how to install it on your AirPods. So I tested out if it was waterproof and yes I dunked it in about 5 inches tall of water for 1-2 mins and took it out and since it was sealed no water went inside!!! I tried dropping it from about 10-15 feet and not even a scratch. With it being silicone it really helps with water resistance and drop proof. This is not only quite the stylish case but very protective. As far as it being dust proof it does a good job. There were a few specks here and there but not a huge deal! Would highly recommend to anyone whos looking for a protective case(:

Okay, so I cannot speak to the durability or sturdiness of the product as I actually ended up ordering this case by mistake. However, I am still choosing to write this review because when I got in touch with KMMINs customer service team as soon as I received this product (I thought I was ordering the case for the AirPods Pro - silly me), they were quick with their responses and went above and beyond to exceed my customer satisfaction needs. I was unaware that this product (unsure if it applies to all of their products??) came with a warranty card and on the back, theres a fun little lottery ticket with scratchy tag/area where if you win 1st prize (5% chance) - you get a 100% off discount coupon, 2nd prize - 25% off discount coupon (10% chance) - and the other 85% is a warm thanks :) lol Anyway, I happened to one of the 5%, which literally NEVER HAPPENS! I have the worst luck known to man! So, I email customer service - tell them my situation about ordering the wrong product but also having won 1st prize and that I wouldnt mind doing an exchange and forfeiting the coupon or using the coupon to get what I had initially intended to get... not only did they let me KEEP my winnings, KEEP the product I mistakenly ordered (I plan on gifting it to a friend), but they also told me to order what I wanted in the first place and that they would give me a FULL refund for the order!!! Now THATS what I call good customer service!! I end up getting my money back, plus 2-extra items that I didnt plan on... so I would say that the customer service alone is definitely worth the value for whatever amount of money youre going to pay. Theres comfort in knowing youre going to be taken care of when youre in a bind.
