I would definitely not consider this to be cardstock. It's very thin and flimsy. More like thicker, oversized printer paper. Can't use this for what I needed it for.

I have information on cats with a specific terminal illness. I give out this information on 1/3 of an 8-1/211 sheet of card stock, but then I needed a way to keep it all in one spot. The larger card stock works great for making little folders for these 4-ish inch wide by 8 inch long cards. I just fold this card stock in half, then cut the corners at the crease, then fold a flap for the outside edge, and then cut the corner of the outside to fold it in, and then glue or double side tape the flaps. I put the information cards in, and they hold up well.

I am a collage artist, and I use cardstock daily as a base for most of my pieces. I have tried out many varieties, and this Koogel paper is easily the flimsiest. It is more like lightweight construction paper than sturdy cardstock. I do like that the paper is bright white and that the dimensions are large and square, offering versatility when cutting it to other sizes. Nevertheless, the lack of rigidity means this paper is not terribly useful for my purposes.

I ordered this Koogel 25 Sheets Cardstock for Crafts to test with cyanotypes. I am always looking for new surfaces to coat with cyanotype emulsion. This card stock seemed like a worthwhile subject for testing, particularly because it's a great size for the types of cyanotypes I prefer. For those who don't know, cyanotype is an old photographic process that results in prints that are blue and white. First, you coat your paper with a water-based emulsion. After it dries, you expose the paper to sunlight (or UV light), develop it in acidified water, and then wash in tap water. Some papers hold up under this process and some turn to mush. This paper accepted the cyanotype solution evenly. However, it rippled quite a bit during the drying process. Ripples are bad for two reasons. First, they tend to cause the emulsion to pool in spots. Second, they make it hard to get consistent contact between your negative and the paper during the exposure process. In addition to the rippling issue, this paper did not hold up well during a 15 minute wash in tap water. So... this is not a good candidate for cyanotype. However, if you are planning to use this card stock for crafting or for making cards, invitations, etc. you should be happy with it. I ran a sheet through an inkjet dye printer. The ink dried quickly with no smearing and the printed image was sharp and well-saturated. I cut a piece down so it would fit in my laser printer to see if it would feed smoothly. My laser printer is very picky about thicker papers but it had no problem with this stuff. Folding this cardstock is also pretty simple. I was able to create a nice straight fold without scoring.
