This is a super fresh 8 peppercorn blend. And it's very impressive that it's a blend of 8 types of peppercorns. I don't even think I know 8 kinds of peppercorns. Pink, green, white, black, sichuan, long pepper, and that's about all that I am familiar with. But the flavor and aroma is very complex, so I'll trust that there are really 8 types. It's a pretty small jar, but it's potent and a little goes a long way. I really enjoy the blend and it makes a great rub for chicken or steak. Overall - if you're looking for a very fresh and gourmet peppercorn blend, you'll enjoy this.

Freshness - Dated July 2025 I typically use black pepper corns from a pepper mill, so I was excited to try this assortment of eight different peppers. I was not disappointed. This doesn't have the bite that the ground black pepper I use has but this is a bit mellower, but has a wider flavor profile. There's a bit of heat, a bit of sweetness, some spiciness and more. It's really good. I've used it to season baked chicken, chicken salad, a green salad, salmon and more.

There's a ton of variety of flavors and scents in this mix, it's a really nice medley. Wherever you'd be adding regular black pepper, you can use this but you'll be getting a ton of additional depth and scent. You can use this as a finishing seasoning or in your cooking and it'll be a welcome and noticeable addition each time. It's hard to describe the tase exactly, other than just saying it's very varied. What I can coherently say is that is smells awesome. It's warm, a bit floral, and almost citrusy.

This is by far the most aromatic and tasty pepper I have ever used in my life. I don't even really enjoy pepper on that many foods, but I find myself putting this on everything! Example: I normally hate pepper on my eggs, but this brings them to a whole new level. I normally only add a tiny to my chicken and rice, but I added a hefty amount of this and LOVED it! It's great on everything, as a part of the cooking process or as a final touch. It's so aromatic, it contains many types of peppercorns, so the flavor is a lot more complex and floral than regular black pepper. It's truly superb!

this is less bitingly spicy than Tellicherry black peppercorns (which are currently in our electric pepper grinder) and more floral. Its still clearly pepper but there's more going on where tellicherries seem very one-note. I like this in place of black pepper where the pepper is a supporting player, for example tomato sauce, and I havent done it yet but think this mix would be fantastic for making pepper jerky, but I probably would not use it in making gravlax for example, where the only spices are pepper and dill so I try to keep the pepper as "clean" as possible. Oh, and this is also really good with butter on a baked potato. Overall, I do really like this mix, and so I gave it 5 stars.
