While this is a large travel size makeup bag, my wife is using it to store all her essential makeup and uses it a couple times a week, at the moment it's her to go makeup bag. When the bag is closed it is a rectangular shape but once you open it, it lays flat and you can see all your makeup and essentials, it is well-made, lightweight and and has a sturdy handle strap. She loves the checkered pattern and white color (like a well-known designer bag), the gold accent zipper works great, and the capacity of this bag is amazing. She plans to use it for our upcoming trip and highly recommends it!

I bought one of these makeup cases for myself last year, and I had yo come back during high school graduation season to rebuy this bag for all my friends! This is the most useful item I have bought in a while!

When it arrives, it is very flat, and it's actually hard to see what shape it is supposed to be. I stuffed it with rags for while until it kind of settled into the shape shown in the listing. Since then I've been using it to hold my medication bottles and random other pills like ibuprofen and allergy pills, Which means I have been opening it twice a day, every day, for a little over a month, and have traveled with stuff in a duffel bag twice. It's holding up great. The zipper is smooth, there is no wear to be seen anywhere (though I don't use the little handle, I suspect that might be a weak point), and that fairly hideous mauve color hasn't faded or scuffed at all. Would recommend It's become a daily part of my routine and I like it.

The PU leather just feels like plastic. Maybe there are different grades of PU leather; I don't know much about it. But other items I own that are advertised as PU leather do feel nicer. The zipper can be challenging. I might try putting a little 3 in 1 oil on there and see if it slides any more easily. I prefer a bag that can be zippered with one hand, and this definitely is not that. There's ample room inside, plus zippered compartments, so it's serving its purpose well. It also does lay flat when opened, and when filled with items. The brown interior (same on all color varieties of this bag) is not the most attractive. But that's not a big deal, since it IS on the inside. The carrying handle feels good. Overall, it's an average quality bag.

One surprise was the faux brown leather interior, easy to clean, though it may not be to everyone's taste. The only improvement I would suggest are a more comfortable handle but this is a minor preferences. Overall, this makeup bag is a fantastic, durable, and multifunctional travel companion.
