Bought these to use on a camping trip. Was really great after dropping in water while kayaking, still worked and lit kindling for camp fire. Highly recommend if camping and kayaking. Especially if you get swamped a couple times.

This is hands down the coolest tool I own in my camping gear. Everytime I break it out to start a fire everyone lights up (no pun intended). Its really awesome how sleek it is. It can be tricky in small spaces but for my needs with camping this is perfect as I have all the room I need to light small sticks and brush to start a fire. No more struggling with lighters that get too hot and burn my thumb or wind blowing out my matches.

This is a great lighter. The flexibility of the head of the lighter is awesome. It works really well and the battery indicator is great so you know when to charge it. Very happy with this lighter

I have tried sooo many arc/plasma lighters and every single one has failed; most within a week or two. This one has made it two months, so I am hopeful. The open and lighting mechanisms operate smoothly. It is lightweight and can easily be attached to a backpack or other item for carrying along. It's sturdy, well-made and comfortable to hold. My fingers are crossed that this one lasts because I really like it.

Ive been using it for weeks now, and I think its great. I just added a second to my shopping cart so Ill always have a fully charged backup. It would be nice if it had a charge level indicator so that you could know when you definitely didnt need a backup, but thats honestly my only mild complaint. It does however, have a blue LED to indicate charging and it lasts decently long, given how quickly it charges. It works flawlessly to very near the end if you use it right. It requires no fuel besides a sip of electricity and there are no flints to replace. Its clean, so you never have to taste lighter fluid or what it becomes when burned. Its very solidly built with tight tolerances, safety, and durability in mind. It took me a day or two to figure out how to really use it properly. For lighting cigarettes, you want to draw the plasma to the end rather than trying to insert the end into the crossing plasma streams. You could use it to light a cigar, but there are probably better options. That said, to draw the plasma to the end of the cigarette, I found that short quick bursts of suction (like lighting a cigar) works best and wastes the least amount of stored electricity. Ive also found that it helps to hold near the middle of the cigarette with your off-hand to help maintain steadiness while puffing and a close constant distance from the plasma streams. Its not impossible to use in the wind, but its certainly not ideal. Its more difficult and therefore tends to drain the internal battery faster. It helps to draw the plasma to the paper first as it ignites much more easily than the tobacco. The safety works great if you use it. I have no fear of it going off in my pocket. That would be bad, so not using the safety latch would almost literally be playing with fire. It stays out of the way nicely if you have a good reason not to use it though.
