We we weren't super impressed with this one simply because it wasn't incredibly easy to nest. It did not grab my LO's attention the way some of the others have that we've gotten in the past so I'm not sure if it's just the change in design or if it really just wasn't interesting to him.

5 and 4 are easy enough. 3 is weirdly difficult for my toddler, especially to put back together. 2 is fine and 1 is just a star. Overall I'd say tis just OK, and in my toddler's opinion its not a hit.

The Nesting Space Surprise by Learning Resources is a very cute toy for ages 18 months and older. I love that 4 of the 5 pieces separate into two pieces which is so fun for kids who like to open and close things. The pieces are easy to open and figure out which piece fits into the next bigger piece. The numbering on each piece of the toy helps the child to know the order of how each piece goes into the next one. I am so happy that all pieces fit into the large blue rocket ship, so this toy doesnt take up much room on the shelf. The pieces are plastic, but very heavy duty and seem high quality to me. Finding space themed toys are kind of rare, in my opinion, and I love that both boys and girls can play with this since space is for everyone! This toy would make a great 1st or 2nd birthday gift for any child. Highly recommended!

My toddler loves space, and talks about "spaceships" ever since her daycare had a themed week of learning. This little nesting toy is SO cute -- and durable! Each layer is made of a thick plastic that is numbered 1-5. They are not reversible, which does cause my daughter some frustration, as the fronts must match the front and the backs must match the backs (unlike a regular circular nesting doll). She especially likes to play with the alien and spaceship separately. She's not really able to put it back together herself... she is just now turning two, so I think her use of this toy will also grow with her, making this toy most appropriate for a 3+ year old.
