Smaller than expected.

I thought my toddler would love this because Miss Rachel has one. He wasnt as crazy about it as I had hoped but he does play with the pegs and occasionally puts them in the correct spots. Its smaller than I expected which is fine, but its very lightweight and has no grip so it slides all over our wood floors. Its ok!

A bit flimsy but it does the job

Our little one has been working on grasping skills so we were hoping to get this for her to practice/play with. The hedgehog itself is pretty flimsy with really thin plastic. It's really annoying how you access storage of the little "quills" - there's as flimsy plastic screw that holds the shell attached to the body - and doesn't really work that well. But, once you get the little "quills" into hedgehog, it does exactly as you'd expect. It holds the "quills" well with varying degrees of strength needed to pull them out.

Decent for what it is

This toy is about 6 or 7 inches long from nose to rear. It is very light and seems to be made from plastic with a bit of bend to it so it might survive a few drops. there is a lock at the bottom rear of the toy and you unscrew it and pop the back off to gain access to the keys. The keys fit pretty snuggly into their holes which is great because I got this to work on hand dexterity for my autistic nephew. The keys are numbered and color coded so it's a great way to work with numbers and basic colors and matching. My final notes here are that the toy does feel cheap but it is a cheap toy so I cut it some slack, I do feel like it can hold up to some drops and such, but this little guy might not survive being stepped on. All in all, not a bad purchase and works great for my needs.

Great learning toy!

My toddler LOVES this toy! She isn't great on matching the numbers up yet but she is killing it with the color matching. Once she gets all the spikes in she dumps it out and does it again. I love that you can store the spikes in the belly too so they don't fall out or get lost. The box it came in was a little beat up but the toy was perfectly fine. Great value for the price and I like that it is educational AND unique.
